Controlled heat treatment of the catalyst under a nitrogen atmosphere brought about the formation of a morphologically well-defined catalyst. A combination of atomic resolution electron microscopy, CO stripping voltammetry, and XPS analyses conducted on as-synthesized and heat-treated catalysts demonstrated the crucial role of the nanoparticles' morphology on the stabilization of catalytically highly active Pt-OH surface species, which were key species for the Pt-catalyzed oxidation of the alcohol to the carbonyl functionality.

Methods: In August 2022, PubMed/EMBASE were searched for articles reporting (i) coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, amputation; (ii) heart failure; and (iii) retinopathy, neuropathy, nephropathy (albuminuria, chronic kidney disease [CKD], end-stage renal disease) by age at diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. Random effects, non-linear dose-response meta-analysis was undertaken for each outcome to assess the association with age at diagnosis (40 years = reference), using both crude and maximally adjusted odds ratios separately, with and without adjustment for current age (age at sampling).

In this study, aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy is employed to investigate the morphology of Au clusters formed from the aggregation of single atoms sputtered onto an amorphous carbon surface. This article focuses on how the imaginary of a 'safe' environment was visualised and conveyed within the hospitality sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, drawing on diaries and interviews with 21 workers in the UK. Our findings show increased workloads for hospitality staff, compounded by anxieties of risk and individualised COVID-19 regulation work. This includes workers' negotiations of corporeal boundaries and distancing from customers, the visible cleaning of communal areas and recuperation and care work for their own bodies and others in shared living spaces.

As of June 2023, the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) required all prescribers of controlled medications to attest to at least 8 hours of substance use training.
Purpose: To quantify the amount of time advanced practice nursing students learn substance use-related content and engage in teaching/learning activities across the 3 courses as a basis for meeting the DEA requirement.
Tailoring nanoparticles' composition and morphology is of particular interest for improving their performance for catalysis. A challenge of this approach is that the nanoparticles' optimized initial structure often changes during use.
