Unlabelled: The first maxillary molar is one of the most difficult teeth for endodontical treatment; it presents the highest failure rates due to the impossibility of locating and treating the second mesiobuccal canal (MB2). The aim of our work was study of second mesiobuccal canal in maxillary first molar and compare obtained data with literature sources for increasing the efficiency of treatment.

Glioblastomas (GBMs) are the most malignant and intractable of all cancers, with an unfavorable clinical prognosis for affected patients. The objective was to analyze the sensitivity of GBM cells to the antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) cathelicidin (LL-37) and protegrin-1 (PG-1), both alone and in combination with chemotherapy, to predict overall survival (OS) in the patients. The study was conducted on 27 GBM patients treated in the neurosurgical department of the Almazov Medical Research Centre (Saint Petersburg, Russia) from 2021 to 2024.

Unlabelled: Etiologic and pathogenetic aspects cause the most contentious issue in the study of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) syndrome in childhood and adolescence. Some researchers have linked the emergence of this group of diseases with abnormal occlusion, others have more emphasis on the age characteristics of a growing organism, or rather on a number of morphological and psychomotor processes arising and ending at puberty and cause physiological abnormalities in the growing organism. Gemistocytic astrocytomas (GA) are a variant of diffuse astrocytomas GII (WHO, 2016). Like all diffuse astrocytomas, GA recur with time, which is often accompanied by malignant degeneretion into the anaplastic astrocytoma GIII or to the secondary glioblastoma GIV. The experience with the use of a method of bone plasty developed by the authors in the treatment of 13 children with a pathologic fracture of metacarpal bones is summarized. In follow up of from 1 to 6 years, the complete reconstruction of a transplant with replacing the defects by bone tissue which do not differ in structure from the own one was noted. A hand function restored to the full volume.

In the article is proposed the method of treatment of finger phalanx tumors in children, localized in the area of growth zones. By application of the proposed method the authors operated on 12 children aged 3-15 years in connection with the benign tumors of finger phalanx bones. The levels of tumor markers--CEA, ferritin and prolactin (the hormone of the anterior pituitary gland) were studied in the blood serum of 178 breast cancer patients in the menopause during combined therapy using a radioimmunoassay. This combination was shown to be informative for assessment of prognosis of disease and efficacy of antitumor therapy which was confirmed by clinical and x-ray findings and observation of a tumor process in breast cancer patients over a 5-year period.

The levels of gonadotropic hormones, prolactin, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and ferritin were measured in 111 females (52--cancer, 32--benign tumors and 27--healthy controls in menopause). Radioimmunologic study showed a significant increase in prolactin, CEA and ferritin levels in patients with T1-2N0M0 breast tumors.
