Objectives: To highlight the complications associated with the products and practice of healers "Ferraga" who treat young children using traditional Moroccan pharmacopoeia.
Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of cases of products and practice of "Ferraga" intoxication in young children reported to the Moroccan Poison Control and Pharmacovigilance Center (MPCPC), Rabat, Morocco, from 2010-2020.
Results: During the study period, 24 cases of products and practice of "Ferraga" poisoning were reported to MPCPC, Rabat, Morocco.
Background And Objective: The use of herbal products globally is substantial, but varying definitions and regulatory frameworks have led to differences in their status as medicinal products and in approaches to monitoring their safety. This article explores the current landscape of herbal pharmacovigilance, drawing insights from interviews with global experts in the field, and offers recommendations for best practices to enhance the safety and benefit-to-harm balance of herbal products.
Methods: This study comprised semi-structured interviews with members of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance-Herbal and Traditional Medicines Special Interest Group and the Nutrivigilance Information Exchange Network, recruited using purposive sampling.
Use of herbal medicines (HMs) is widespread across the world, with many people relying on HMs for their primary healthcare or using HMs in the context of a healthy life style. HMs originate from plant material and, as such, are often seen as "natural" and believed to be (relatively) safe by patients. Hepatobiliary disorders have been associated with numerous HMs.

Purpose: To present a literature review of major AEs: digestive infections, pneumonia, bone fracture, hypomagnesemia, interstitial nephritis, gastric cancer and neutropenia.
Data Sources: The authors used Pubmed; articles in English or French, published between August 2006 and August 2011 were analyzed.
Adverse drug reactions, including those resulting from interactions between herbal medicines and conventional drugs, are a public health problem worldwide. The need for pharmacovigilance for herb-drug interactions (HDIs) is essential for the identification and assessment of risks of using herbal products (questionable safety, efficacy and quality), which are not always tested with rigor, or often not subject to approval by regulatory agencies. Spontaneous and active surveillance conducted by national pharmacovigilance centres permits a rapid detection of potentially harmful combinations of products.

As Samarium EDTMP is a beta-emitter, the radiotherapy contributes to osteoblastic bone lesion control over time. To date, the safety and effectiveness of Samarium therapy have not been established in patients with renal impairment.

Although the safety profile of many herbal medicines is promising, accumulated data show evidence of significant interactions with medications, which can place individual patients at great risk. A range of electronic databases have been reviewed for articles published in this field: Medline, Allied and Complementary Medicine Database, HealthSTAR, AMBASE, CINHAL, Cochrane Library, as well as Internet documents and manually searched references in medical journals.

TINU or Dobrin syndrome is a rare oculo-renal inflammatory condition which is comprised of acute idiopathic tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis. We report here two female patients aged 35 and 44 years, who were admitted with severe renal failure of acute onset (serum creatinine of 607 and 310 Umol/L [Editor note: do you mean "micromol/L"?] respectively) with the first patient requiring hemodialysis. The cause of acute renal failure was unclear on clinical and laboratory assessment, and a percutaneous renal biopsy was performed which showed features of acute tubulointerstitial nephritis in both cases.
