Bioactive glass (BAG) has emerged as an effective bone graft substitute due to its diverse qualities of biocompatibility, bioactivity, osteoblast adhesion and enhanced revascularization. However, inferior osteogenic capacity of BAG compared to autologous bone grafts continues to limiting it's wide-spread clinical applications towards repairing of bone fractures and healing. In this study, we have fabricated BAG composites with 0.

Sustainable development through technical progress for middle-income countries (MICs) is overlooked in growth allied studies. Despite their crucial role in alleviating poverty and resource shortages, MICs encounter challenges in global economic competition, driving persistent efforts to find practical solutions. Therefore, this study explores the integrated impact of R&D expenditure and remittances on economic growth in MICs.

This study examines how "information and communication technology (ICT)" affects carbon dioxide (CO) emissions in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations asymmetrically, controlling energy consumption, its intensity, trade, and financial development following an environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) approach. It employs panel data covering 1995-2019, 2 generation unit root, Westerlund cointegration tests, nonlinear pooled mean group (PMG) estimate, and Dumitrescu-Hurlin causality check. The Westerlund test validates a long-run association among variables.

Bismuth sulphide (Bi2S3) is an excellent semiconductor and its nanoparticles have numerous significant applications including photovoltaic materials, photodiode arrays, bio-imaging, etc. Nevertheless, these nanoparticles when fabricated by chemical and physical routes tend to easily aggregate in colloidal solutions, are eco-unfriendly, cumbrous and very broad in size distribution. The aim of the present manuscript was to ecologically fabricate water dispersible, safe and stable Bi2S3 nanoparticles such that these may find use in animal imaging, diagnostics, cell labeling and other biomedical applications.

L-asparaginase (L-Asp) is an essential component of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) treatment protocols and its use has been associated with many adverse effects. We report a case of a 15-year-old boy with ALL who developed L-Asp induced hypoglycemia. To the best of our knowledge, only one such case has been reported previously.
