We describe a case of retrograde acute type A aortic dissection approached by a hybrid, staged approach consisting of a zone 2 arch replacement and completion thoracic endovascular aortic repair procedure combined with distal balloon-assisted stent graft dilatation to prevent retrograde false lumen flow. This technique may be an alternative and more complete when compared with a frozen elephant trunk procedure at onset. Additionally, favorable remodeling of the entire thoracic aorta is observed.

Materials And Methods: This multicenter retrospective study included patients who underwent CT-guided radiofrequency or microwave ablation for CRLM between 2009 and 2021 in three institutions. Three-dimensional (3D) MAM was retrospectively assessed using dedicated ablation confirmation software by automatic non-rigid (Ablation-fit) or semi-automatic rigid co-registration (SAFIR) of intraprocedural pre- and post-ablation contrast-enhanced CT scans by two independent reader teams blinded to patient outcomes.
Rationale And Objectives: Assess the feasibility of a prototype image reconstruction algorithm in correcting motion artifacts in cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans of interventional instruments in the lung.
Materials And Methods: First, phantom experiments were performed to assess the algorithm, using the Xsight lung phantom with custom inserts containing straight or curved catheters. During scanning, the inserts moved in a continuous sinusoidal or breath-hold mimicking pattern, with varying amplitudes and frequencies.
Patients with localized recurrent prostate cancer (PCa) are eligible for androgen-deprivation therapy, salvage radical prostatectomy (RP) or radiation therapy. These treatments are associated with serious side-effects, illustrating the need for alternative local treatment options with lower morbidity rates. All patients who underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-guided salvage focal cryoablation (SFC) with localized recurrent PCa between 2011-2021 ( = 114) were included.

Purpose: To assess volumetric ablation margins derived from intraoperative pre- and post-ablation MRI after magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-guided percutaneous cryoablation of renal tumors and explore its correlation with local treatment success.
Methods: Retrospective analysis was performed on 30 patients (mean age 69y) who underwent percutaneous MRI-guided cryoablation between May 2014 and May 2020 for 32 renal tumors (size: 1.6-5.
Background: A larger thrombus in patients with acute ischemic stroke might result in more complex endovascular treatment procedures, resulting in poorer patient outcomes. Current evidence on thrombus volume and length related to procedural and functional outcomes remains contradicting. This study aimed to assess the prognostic value of thrombus volume and thrombus length and whether this relationship differs between first-line stent retrievers and aspiration devices for endovascular treatment.

Background: Aspirin and unfractionated heparin are often used during endovascular stroke treatment to improve reperfusion and outcomes. However, the effects and risks of anti-thrombotics for this indication are unknown. We therefore aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of intravenous aspirin, unfractionated heparin, both, or neither started during endovascular treatment in patients with ischaemic stroke.

Methods: We included patients with proximal occlusions of the anterior circulation from the second and first cohorts of the MR CLEAN (Multicenter Randomized Clinical trial of Endovascular Treatment for Acute Ischemic Stroke in the Netherlands) Registry (March 2014 to June 2016; June 2016 to November 2017, respectively).
Objectives: Over 2500 percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography and biliary drainage (PTCD) procedures are yearly performed in the Netherlands. Most interventions are performed for treatment of biliary obstruction following unsuccessful endoscopic biliary cannulation. Our aim was to evaluate complication rates and risk factors for complications in PTCD patients after failed ERCP.

By intervening on these quality differences, patient outcomes may be improved. However, whether observed differences in outcome reflect the true quality improvement potential is not known for many diseases.

Prostate cancer is the fifth leading cause of death worldwide. A variety of treatment options is available for localized prostate cancer and may range from active surveillance to focal therapy or whole gland treatment, that is, surgery or radiotherapy. Serum prostate-specific antigen levels are an important tool to monitor treatment success after whole gland treatment, unfortunately prostate-specific antigen is unreliable after focal therapy.

The specific and high expression levels of carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX) in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) makes it a suitable target for imaging using radiolabeled anti-CAIX antibody girentuximab. The objective of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of targeted FU imaging 1 month after cryoablation of ccRCC using single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) after In-labeled girentuximab administration.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective, single-center study was performed in 62 patients with radiorecurrent PCa who underwent MR imaging-guided cryoablation since May 2011 with a follow-up ≥12 months in December 2017. Rates and descriptions of adverse events were reported.
Objectives: To evaluate the accuracy and clinical integrability of a comprehensive simulation tool to plan and predict radiofrequency ablation (RFA) zones in liver tumors.
Methods: Forty-five patients with 51 malignant hepatic lesions of different origins were included in a prospective multicenter trial. Prior to CT-guided RFA, all patients underwent multiphase CT which included acquisitions for the assessment of liver perfusion.
Objective: To determine the proportion of men avoiding biopsy because of negative multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) findings in a prostate MRI expert centre, and to assess the number of clinically significant prostate cancers (csPCa) detected during follow-up.
Patients And Methods: Retrospective study of 4259 consecutive men having mpMRI of the prostate between January 2012 and December 2017, with either a history of previous negative transrectal ultrasonography-guided biopsy or biopsy naïve. Patients underwent mpMRI in a referral centre.
Background And Purpose: CT perfusion (CTP) might support decision making in patients with acute ischemic stroke by providing perfusion maps of ischemic tissue. Currently, the reliability of CTP is hampered by varying results between different post-processing software packages. The purpose of this study is to compare ischemic core volumes estimated by IntelliSpace Portal (ISP) and syngo.

We assessed the association between collaterals and functional outcome in EVT treated patients and investigated if this association is time dependent.
Methods: We included consecutive patients from the Multicenter Randomized Clinical Trial of Endovascular Treatment for Acute Ischemic Stroke in The Netherlands (MR CLEAN) Registry (March 2014-June 2016) with an anterior circulation large vessel occlusion undergoing EVT.
Background and Purpose- The modified Treatment In Cerebral Ischemia (mTICI) score is the standard method to quantify the degree of reperfusion after endovascular treatment in acute ischemic stroke. In clinical practice, it is commonly assessed by local operators after the procedure. In clinical trials and registries, mTICI is evaluated by an imaging core lab.

Materials And Methods: We retrospectively included patients with MRGB-2 after a negative MRGB-1 both between January 2006 and August 2016. This study included 62 patients (median age, 63 years; interquartile range [IQR], 58-66 years) with 75 sampled lesions during MRGB-2 left for analysis, and 63 lesions were resampled and 12 new lesions were sampled.
Introduction: Radio-frequency ablation (RFA) is a promising minimal-invasive treatment option for early liver cancer, however monitoring or predicting the size of the resulting tissue necrosis during the RFA-procedure is a challenging task, potentially resulting in a significant rate of under- or over treatments. Currently there is no reliable lesion size prediction method commercially available.
Objectives: ClinicIMPPACT is designed as multicenter-, prospective-, non-randomized clinical trial to evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of innovative planning and simulation software.
