Timely monitoring of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in serum is meaningful for personalized diagnosis and treatment for lung cancer. Cheap and efficient point-of-care testing (POCT) has emerged as a promising method, especially in a low-resource setting. Herein, (i) a 3D pop-up paper-based POCT device was designed and manufactured via a cheap method; it was used for saving time and efficiently building a biosensor; (ii) a novel cobalt boride nanosheet (CoB NS) nanozyme with abundant groups was used for POCT dual-mode signal transduction and then a portable smartphone/pressure meter to readout; (iii) a user-friendly smartphone app was fabricated for achieving more convenient POCT.

Dopamine (DA) is a key neurotransmitter whose concentration affects various neurological disorders. Unlike previous methods that synthesize non-fluorescent polydopamine (NFL-PDA) under alkaline conditions, this study introduces a novel "turn-off" sensing method for DA using NFL-PDA synthesized through a unique reaction pathway. In our approach, CuO nanodots, created via a simple reduction method, catalyze the formation of hydroxyl radicals (•OH) in acidic conditions, triggering the oxidative polymerization of DA into NFL-PDA.

Lightweight porous structural materials have excellent energy absorption performance, and their application are gradually appeared. This paper takes the shock-absorbing material of nuclear equipment transportation casks as the starting point, and manufactures an orthogonal trapezoidal aluminum honeycomb by welding (WOTAH). The mechanical properties with different cell thicknesses and cell size ratios under different impact loads are studied through experimental and simulation methods, and the deformation process and energy absorption performance of the materials are obtained.

High grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSOC) is the most common and aggressive ovarian malignancy. Accumulating evidence indicates that HGSOC may originate from human fallopian tube epithelial cells (FTECs), although the exact pathogen(s) and/or molecular mechanism underlying the malignant transformation of FTECs is unclear. Here we show that human papillomavirus (HPV), which could reach FTECs via retrograde menstruation or sperm-carrying, interacts with the yes-associated protein 1 (YAP1) to drive the malignant transformation of FTECs.

Microplastic (MP) is an emerging pollutant that has attracted attention in the environmental field, and the research of MPs in freshwater systems needs to be strengthened. To characterize the MPs in surface water and sediments of the western urban river network, water and sediment samples were collected. The results showed that the abundance of MPs in the water body of the river network ranged from 7 to 172 n/L, whereas the abundance of MPs in the sediments ranged from 7 to 144 n/kg, and the average abundance in the dry season was significantly higher than that in the rainy season.

A TiCT/MoS/MWCNT@rGONR nanocomposite was prepared for the first time for building a sensitive electrochemical aptasening platform to simultaneously detect kanamycin (Kana) and chloramphenicol (Cap). Owing to their accordion-like structure, rich surface groups, and high charge mobility, TiCT/MoS/MWCNT@rGONR composites provided a spacious covalent immobilization surface and a better electrochemical aptasensing platform.
