Templating Iron(III) Oxides on DNA Molecules.

Fe(III) oxides were prepared as free nanoparticles and on DNA templates via the precipitation of Fe(III) salts with NaOH in the presence/absence of DNA. Through control of the pH and temperature, FeOOH and FeO were synthesised. The formation of templated materials FeOOH/DNA and FeO/DNA was confirmed using UV-Vis absorption and FTIR spectra.

Fabrication of Er/Yb Co-Doped BiOI Microsphere With Upconversion Luminescence and Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity for Bisphenol A Degradation.

Er/Yb co-doped BiOI uniform porous microsphere photocatalysts were synthesized by a two-step chemical method, which possesses excellent photocatalytic performance and upconversion luminescence property. The photocatalytic performance of the photocatalysts was studied by degradation of bisphenol A in aqueous solution under visible light and different monochromatic light irradiation. The photocatalytic performance of Er/Yb co-doped BiOI sample is better than that of the pristine BiOI and Er-doped BiOI samples.
