Eco-friendly K-10 Clay-Mediated [3 + 3] Spiroannulation of Morita-Baylis-Hillman Adduct of Isatin with Anthracene: Synthesis of Green Fluorophore Compounds.

An easy and simple spiroannulation of the Morita-Baylis-Hillman adduct of isatin derivatives with anthracene was achieved in moderate-to-good yields (37-75%). The spiroderivatives synthesized in this work exhibited green fluorescence properties. The reaction occurred in metal-free eco-friendly K-10 clay-mediated conditions.

Observation of additional delayed-time in chaos synchronization of uni-directionally coupled VCSELs.

We report an experimental and numerical investigation on the existence of additional delayed-time in chaos synchronization of two uni-directionally coupled vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) for the first time. Under a generalized synchronization scenario, we demonstrate that there exists an additional delayed-time in addition to the time-of-flight between the two coupled VCSELs. The cross-correlation function analysis has been used as a method to determine the coupling delay and synchronization quality between two uni-directionally coupled chaotic VCSELs.

Comparison of closed-loop and open-loop feedback schemes of message decoding using chaotic laser diodes.

An experimental study of a chaotic optical communication scheme using an external cavity laser diode to encode a message is reported. The message is decoded in closed- and open-loop receiver schemes. Both schemes show effective decoding of a 1-GHz message.
