Laparoscopic necrosectomy for acute necrotising pancreatitis: Retrospective analysis of a decade-long experience from a tertiary centre.

Introduction: The objective of this study is to evaluate the role of minimally invasive surgery for the management of necrotising pancreatitis in acute settings and to propose tailor-made approaches to deal with various locations of pancreatic necrosis.

Patients And Methods: Three hundred and thirteen patients underwent laparoscopic management of necrotising pancreatitis in this study period from January 2010 to June 2021, out of which 122 patients underwent minimally invasive necrosectomy for acute necrotising pancreatitis. The remaining 191 patients underwent laparoscopic internal drainage in the form of cystogastrostomy/cystojejunostomy for walled-off pancreatic necrosis.

Laparoscopic management of solid pseudo papillary neoplasm of pancreas in tertiary care center from south India.

Background: Solid pseudo papillary neoplasm (SPN) of the pancreas which predominantly affects young women is a relatively indolent entity with favorable prognosis. Resection through minimal access approach helps to achieve better short term benefits. The aim of this study is to describe our experience in laparoscopic management of this disease.

Laparoscopic total pancreatectomy for multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 syndrome-associated multifocal, non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor: A case report.

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors are rare, accounting for less than 3% of all pancreatic tumors. Although laparoscopic pancreas-preserving surgery for managing sporadic pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors has been described in the literature, laparoscopic total pancreatectomy has rarely been reported. We present a 30-year-old man who was incidentally diagnosed with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 syndrome with parathyroid hyperplasia and a non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor.

Laparoscopic central pancreatectomy: Our technique and long-term results in 14 patients.

Introduction: Conventional pancreatic resections may be unnecessary for benign tumours or for tumours of low malignant potential located in the neck and body of pancreas. Such extensive resections can place the patient at increased risk of developing postoperative exocrine and endocrine insufficiency. Central pancreatectomy is a plausible surgical option for the management of tumours located in these locations.

Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) remained a formidable challenge owing to retroperitoneal location, difficult dissection near great vessels and critical intracorporeal anastomoses. Recent reviews of literature have established the feasibility and comparable short term outcomes of laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) with that of open pancreaticoduodenectomy (OPD). This study was undertaken to compare the pathological radicality of LPD with OPD.

Long-term results of laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy for pancreatic and periampullary cancer-experience of 130 cases from a tertiary-care center in South India.

Background: Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD), although an advanced surgical procedure, is being increasingly used for pancreatic head and periampullary tumors. We present our experience of 15 years with the largest series in total LPD for periampullary and pancreatic head tumors with data on oncological outcome and long-term survival.
