Studies have revealed that age-related neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's disease (AD) are now major causes of death among the elderly, surpassing malignancy. This review examines the effects of vitamin E on transcriptomic changes in ageing and neurodegenerative diseases, using AD as an example, and how different transcriptome profiling techniques can shape the results.
