Purpose: We aim to use a network meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of antiseizure medications and provide a theoretical basis for rational drug use for children and adolescents in adjunctive treatment.
Methods: The databases of PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were systematically searched for random clinical trials about perampanel, valproic acid, carbamazepine, lacosamide, lamotrigine, levetiracetam, oxcarbazepine, topiramate, zonisamide, brivaracetam, cenobamate, eslicarbazepine acetate, and pregabalin from their inception until December 10, 2023. The included studies' risk of bias was evaluated by the Cochrane Collaboration's tool (RoB2).
Background: The decline in daily living abilities (ADL) among older adults is a notable predictor of depressive symptoms and the occurrence of disease. However, the effects of changes in ADL disability on the progression of depression have not been extensively studied.
Objective: This research aims to examine the relationship between current ADL disability and depression in individuals aged 45 and older, as well as to explore how ADL disability influences the progression of depression in later life within China.
Background: This study investigated the trajectories of interpersonal stress and psychological pain and their effects on self-harm behaviors in adolescents and explored the reciprocal associations between interpersonal stress and NSSI/SA.
Methods: The participants included 1149 adolescents (50.3% women; M = 12.
Jet electrochemical micromilling (JEMM) exhibits significant potential for high-efficiency and high-quality machining of titanium alloy microstructures. However, during the JEMM process, the machined surface of the workpiece inevitably experiences stray current attacks at low current levels. Due to the formation of a dense passive film on the surface of the titanium alloy under electrochemical action, stray corrosion occurs on the machined surface.

Ocean alkalinity enhancement (OAE) has been proposed as a mitigation method for negative carbon emission. Its effects on marine phytoplankton communities would depend on species differences in tolerance to high pH, which results from phytoplankton photosynthetic drawdown of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC). In this study, 20 marine phytoplankton species were grown in sealed batch cultures and DIC, pH and chlorophyll a (Chl-a) were measured at the peaks of biomass.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFLicorice is a well-known Chinese medicinal plant that is widely used to treat multiple diseases and process food; however, wild licorice is now facing depletion. Therefore, there is an urgent need to identify and protect licorice germplasm diversity. In this study, metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses were conducted to investigate the biodiversity and potential medicinal value of the rare wild .

Titanium alloys are widely used in aerospace and biomedicine because of their excellent mechanical characteristics, but these properties also make such alloys difficult to cut. Jet electrochemical micromilling (JEMM) is based on the principle of electrochemical anodic dissolution; it has some inherent advantages for the machining of titanium alloy microstructures. However, titanium oxidizes readily, forming an oxide film that impedes a uniform dissolution during electrochemical machining.

Mechanistic studies indicate that the β-sulfonamido-α-imino gold carbene is the key intermediate which is generated through the gold-catalyzed cyclization of -(2-azidophenyl-ynyl)methanesulfonamides and undergoes formal [4 + 2] cascade annulation with nitriles and intramolecular S2' type reaction with water, respectively.

Patients tend to worry about cognitive deficiency, pain, discomfort, the risk of death, sleep, complications, and other factors, resulting in stress and anxiety. Moreover, serious adverse events, such as circulatory and respiratory dysfunction and infection, tend to occur after cardiac surgery and increase the economic burden on patients.

Purpose: The uncertainty of fetal position and external interference leads to variable localization and direction of the fetal brain. In addition, pregnant women typically concentrate on receiving MRI scans during the fetal anomaly scanning week, leading to an imbalanced distribution of fetal brain MRI data.
The cytochrome P450 (CYP) genes of nematode play a crucial role in the metabolic detoxification of xenobiotics including pesticides. , also known as the soybean cyst nematode, is a sedentary endoparasite that infests plant roots, causing high annual economic losses in soybean production regions globally. In this study, we identified 36 CYP genes at a genome-wide level of the isolate TN10 using all CYPs from as queries.

Root-knot nematodes (RKNs; spp.), one of the most economically important plant-parasitic nematodes (PPNs), cause severe yield and quality losses in agriculture annually. The application of biological control agents is an environmentally safe and effective approach to control RKNs.

There is currently a lack of prospective randomized control trials and large retrospective studies investigating the efficacy of different treatment options for PCFCL. This retrospective study was conducted to describe our local clinical experience and outcomes of patients treated with rituximab-containing regimens.
