The Prevalence and Associated Factors of Peripheral Intravenous Complications in a Thai Hospital.

Complications of peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVCs) remain a major contributor to health care costs and are a patient safety problem. The objective of this cross-sectional descriptive study was to examine the prevalence of complications and factors associated with complications from peripheral intravenous fluid administration. The study was conducted at a tertiary care hospital in Thailand.
