Background: This study aims to examine the effect of Leukocyte-Rich Platelet-Rich Plasma (LR-PRP) on bacterial translocation in an experimental peritonitis model in rats. Secondary peritonitis occurs due to the loss of integrity in the mucosal barrier of the gastrointestinal system, resulting from contamination of the peritoneal cavity by microorganisms. LR-PRP has been shown to have positive anti-infectious, immunomodulatory, and angiogenetic effects.

Methods: A systematic search was conducted in the electronic databases PubMed-MEDLINE and the Web of Science. The following search terms were used: "irreversible electroporation AND recurrent prostate cancer", ''salvage irreversible electroporation AND prostate cancer AND radiation", "nanoknife AND recurrent prostate cancer", and ''salvage irreversible electroporation AND prostate cancer" by combining PICO (population, intervention, comparison, and outcome) terms.
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is among the most common types of cancer. Although the disease is treatable in its early stages, five-year survival falls below 20% in the later stages. CEA and CA19-9 are tumor markers used in the diagnosis and follow-up of the disease in clinical practice; however, their diagnostic effectiveness is insufficient.

This study aimed to determine how DJ stenting affects patients' work performance after endoscopic stone surgery.
Material And Methods: A total of 107 patients underwent placement of a ureteral stent after ureterorenoscopy (URS)/retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS), and only active and full-time working patients were included.

Cytoreductive chemotherapy for a secondary malignancy is a potential challenge for the stability of the graft function after HSCT. We report on a boy with X-SCID who developed Ewing sarcoma ten years after HSCT which was successfully treated with cytoreductive chemotherapy, surgery and local radiation.

We aimed to investigate for the 1 time nectin-4 expression in human prostate cancer tissues.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the prostate pathology specimens of 82 patients who underwent initial transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy or transurethral prostate resection and were found to have atypical small acinar proliferation (ASAP) and incidentally prostate cancer.
The progressive increase in infections caused by multidrug-resistant (MDR) Gram-negative bacteria and the emergence of resistance to last-resort antimicrobial drugs in recent years necessitate the development of new therapeutic strategies. This study was conducted to obtain nanostructured antimicrobials by conjugating colistin (COL) and meropenem (MEM) antibiotics with biosynthesized silver nanoparticles (bio-AgNPs) via the green synthesis method using Rosa damascena extract, and to investigate the antibacterial and antibiofilm activity of these nanostructures against Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae strains. Ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry, high-resolution-transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy analyses were performed to determine the physical and chemical properties of synthesized bio-AgNPs, COL@bio-AgNPs, MEM@bio-AgNPs, and COL&MEM@bio-AgNPs.

We aimed to compare the effects of standard modulation (SM), VB, and BB pulse modulations of Ho:YAG laser on kidney tissue.
Methods: An ex vivo experiment was conducted using veal kidneys.
Objective: This study investigated the correlation between dental calculi grading and renal stone burden grading.
Patients And Methods: This study was designed as an observational single-center study and included consecutive patients with radiologically confirmed renal stones at our center between January 2022 and July 2022. These patients were referred to the dentistry clinic for a dental examination to assess dental calculi and oral hygiene.
Background: There is a lack of renal resistive index (RRI)-based data on the effects of COVID-19 in transplant patients. We aimed to investigate the effect of COVID-19 on the RRI of renal transplant recipients and to review the outcomes of patients who underwent renal transplantation (RT) before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: The data of 90 recipients were retrospectively reviewed.
Background: Although previous studies have illustrated the relationship between chronic kidney disease, coronary artery disease, erectile dysfunction, and the triglyceride-glucose index (TyGi), the relationship between this index and postoperative graft function in patients undergoing renal transplantation has yet to be investigated. In the present study, we aimed to reveal the association between the TyGi and renal graft outcomes in patients who underwent renal transplantation.
Methods: We retrospectively collected data on living and cadaveric kidney donor recipients between May 2019 and April 2022.
Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is characterized with chronic inflammation of gastrointestinal track. In the pathogenesis of IBD, inflammation is the main mechanism. Induction of inflammation triggers the oxidative stress that subsequently leading to apoptosis.

Despite many studies in recent years, the definitive treatment for carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) infections is still uncertain. In this study, it was aimed to investigate in vitro activities of colistin (COL) and meropenem (MEM), which are frequently used in the treatment of CRKP infections, and ceftazidime-avibactam (CZA), which is recently used in our country, alone or in combination against different CRKP isolates having different carbapenem resistance mechanisms andto analyze whether the presence of colistin resistance, which is an important problem in CRKP strains, influences the drug interaction results.

Objective: Studies have implicated in the etiology of mental disorders because of its neurotropic nature and its ability to modulate neurotransmitter pathways. This study aims to investigate seroprevalence in patients with bipolar disorder and in healthy controls living in the Isparta Region of Turkey and to assess the probable relationship between and bipolar disorder.
Methods: Fourty-eight patients with bipolar disorder and 50 healthy controls were included in the study.
In the present study, the concentration levels of heavy metals such as Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cr, and Pb in sediment samples collected from 16 sampling locations in the Middle and Eastern Black Sea regions, Turkey, were measured using energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (EDXRF). Various pollution parameters and methods, such as the enrichment factor (EF), geo-accumulation index (I), contamination factor (CF), pollution load index (PLI), ecological risk index (RI), and geo-spatial distribution patterns, were used to assess the pollution status, ecological risks, and sources of metals in sediment in detail. The mean concentrations of Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cr, and Pb were found to be 565.

Introduction: The detection of HCV-RNA by PCR assays is considered to be the gold standard for confirming the presence of HCV viremia. However, high costs, long and laborious procedures limit their widespread usage. This retrospective study was conducted to assess the predictive performances of biochemical and hematological parameters, anti-HCV signal-to-cutoff (S/CO) ratios and RIBA assay for HCV viremia.
