Breast cancer ranks among the most prevalent cancers. Enhancing the effectiveness of chemotherapy and patient survival is the objective of many studies. In the literature, no study has investigated the combined effect of vitamin c and curcumin with chemotherapy drugs on cell viability in the MCF-7 cell line, nor the mechanism of inflammation induced by cancer drugs, both in vitro and in silico.

It is thought that these synthesized molecules can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal and periapical diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the severity of apical periodontitis (AP) and chronic periodontitis (CP) and serum (s) TNF-α, IL-10, PGE2 and NO levels, as well as PGE2 and NO levels in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) samples.

This study aims to determine the phenological characteristics of thermal responses in the larvae of a Culex pipiens complex field population at the individual level under the influence of thermal regime of its habitat. The analysis is based on a structured population model quantifying the thermal responses of development time and survival under variable conditions and characterising the variety between the larvae (interindividual variety). During the study performed in Turkish Thrace on a monthly basis between May 2021 and June 2022, a total of 3744 larvae were reared as peer larval cohorts and 2330 larvae as siblings in artificial containers to be fully exposed to the natural thermal condition that was recorded hourly.

This study aimed to determine the main bacterial species in the microbiota as gram positive and negative and to compare the relationship between matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-9 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α with controlled patient groups. 60 patients with AP and extraction indication were included in the study.

Seventy-five single-rooted mandibular premolar teeth were divided into 5 groups (Gr1-5). 50 of the teeth were used for the mPBS tests (n = 10), whereas 25 were used for the smear layer examinations (n = 5).

A total of 162 subjects were divided into three categories: AP group (n = 80), periodontitis (P) group (n = 42), healthy control group (n = 40). The scoring of disease severity in 80 AP patients without any periodontal disease, using dental radiographs, was based on "The Abscess Score" (AS), as those having at least 1 tooth with AP and severity of PAI 3-4 were classified as AS 1 (mild); those with only1 tooth and severity of PAI 5 as AS 2 (moderate) and those having > 2 tooth with severity of PAI 5 as AS 3 (severe).

However, determining factors in most interactions between ticks and predators have not yet been fully deciphered. We hypothesized that the ant species Lasius alienus, which is unknown whether it has any impact on ticks, may exhibit predation on the eggs of tick species Hyalomma marginatum, H.

In addition to alloantibodies, alloreactive memory B cell (mBC) evaluation has a potential for immunological risk assessment during transplantation processes. For the alloreactive mBCs evaluation currently, direct Flow Cytometric (FC) analysis using the HLA tetramer staining is an option. Evaluation of alloantibodies produced by the polyclonally stimulated alloreactive mBCs in in vitro culture system seems to be another useful approach, but this needs further downstream applications.

Furthermore, the protein expressions of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha (HIF-1α), nuclear factor-kappa-b (NF-kB), and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) were also examined.
Material And Methods: Untreated cell cultures served as the control group, named group 1.
Aim: To investigate the supplementation of alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) at the molecular level to determine its effect on primary cell cultures prepared from human intervertebral disc (IVD) tissue in an in vitro environment.
Material And Methods: Human primary cell cultures were prepared from IVD tissue resected during surgery. While cell cultures without ALA supplementation formed the control group, those with ALA supplementation formed the study group.
The genus Saga, one of the largest predatory bush crickets and insects in the Palearctic region, is represented by nine species in Anatolia. According to the morphological and bioacoustics evaluations of the Ephippigera species group belonging to the Saga genus, it consists of three species: S. ephippigera, S.

Seventeen endemic and three sub-endemic species belonging to three subfamilies of Tettigoniidae (Orthoptera: Bradyporinae, Phaneropterinae and Tettigoniinae) were sampled during field trips throughout different regions of Anatolia between 2015 and 2018 (except one taxon). Acoustic parameters of these 20 bush-cricket species affiliated to 12 genera (Apholidoptera, Bradyporus, Decticus, Eupholidoptera, Parapholidoptera, Pezodrymadusa, Pholidoptera, Polysarcus, Psorodonotus, Squamiana, Uvarovistia and Yalvaciana) have been described for the first time in this study. Bioacoustical analysis shows that male calling songs are species-specific for the genera Bradyporus, Parapholidoptera, Pholidoptera, Apholidoptera, Uvarovistia and Psorodonotus.
