Despite the significant fatality rates associated with Nipah virus (NiV) outbreaks in South Asia, including Bangladesh, and India, till today, there is no approved medications to treat it. In this context, small molecules in propolis were computationally screened through pharmacokinetic and toxicity studies followed by molecular docking and dynamics simulation with Nipah virus glycoprotein (NiV-G protein) to assess their anti-Nipah potential. A thorough literature analysis was performed to identify antiviral compounds in propolis from a pool of 84 experimental articles.

Epilepsy affects more than 70 million individuals of all ages worldwide and remains one of the most severe chronic noncommunicable neurological diseases globally. Several neurotransmitters, membrane protein channels, receptors, enzymes, and, more recently noted, various pathways, such as inflammatory and mTORC complexes, play significant roles in the initiation and propagation of seizures. Over the past two decades, significant developments have been made in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy.

RBL2 dysfunction has been linked to a severe neurodevelopmental disorder. However, to date, clinical features have only been described in six individuals carrying five biallelic predicted loss of function (pLOF) variants.

Based on morphological traits such as nut size, nut shape, and the number of leaflets, five genotypes were chosen and samples were collected for the current study. For molecular analysis, gDNA was isolated from the fresh leaves, and the five most effective angiosperm-specific markers, ITS2, , , , and , were utilized.

These biostimulants, including plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria, mycorrhizal fungi, and nitrogen-fixing bacteria, enhance plant tolerance through mechanisms such as phytohormone production, nutrient solubilization, osmotic adjustment, and antioxidant enzyme activation. Advances in genomics, metagenomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics have significantly expanded our understanding of plant-microbe molecular communication in the rhizosphere, revealing mechanisms underlying these interactions that promote stress resilience.

Phlebotominae sand flies are the vectors of leishmaniasis. Their density is known to be influenced by context-specific climatic and land use patterns.

Herewith, we are reporting the profile of bacteria and fungi causing external ocular infections and the associated factors in Arba Minch, southern Ethiopia. An institution-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 259 suspected individuals with external ocular infections from 01 January to 10 June 2020 in Arba Minch General Hospital.

In this study, neural functions, such as neural activation and synaptic plasticity, are successfully accomplished with a polarity-switchable nanofluidic memristor (PSNM), which is based on the anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) nanochannel array. The PSNM has unipolar memristive behavior at high electrolyte concentrations and bipolar memristive behavior at low electrolyte concentrations, which can emulate neural activation and synaptic plasticity, respectively.

Background: The relevance of anthropometric indices in predicting cardiovascular disease (CVD) or CVD risk factors is established across different countries, particularly in the high-income countries. However, past studies severely lacked representation from the south and southeast Asian countries. The main aim of this study was to determine the performance of conventional and new anthropometric indices to best predict 10-year cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk in south Asian and southeast Asian populations.

With the booming Internet of Things (IoT) applications, the resource-constrained nature of its devices makes it urgent to explore lightweight and high-performance intrusion detection models. Recent years have seen a particularly active application of deep learning (DL) techniques.

While systemic proinflammatory processes are a reportedly normal component of gestation, excessive inflammation has been demonstrated as a risk factor for preterm birth. There is minimal research on the impact of excessive maternal inflammation in the first trimester on the risk of preterm birth in low-middle income countries specifically.

Materials And Methods: We reviewed all CT KUBs ( = 121) performed in September 2019 and all CTUs ( = 74) performed in December 2019 at our institution. The dose length product (DLP) of all CT KUBs and each individual phase of CTU were recorded.
In 1999, the Bangladesh government introduced the Human Organ Transplantation Act allowing organ transplants from both brain-dead and living-related donors. This Act approved organ donation within family networks, which included immediate family members such as parents, adult children, siblings, uncles, aunts, and spouses. Subsequently, in January 2018, the government amended the 1999 Act to include certain distant relatives, such as grandparents, grandchildren, and first cousins, in the donor lists, addressing the scarcity of donors.

Fire risks pose a substantial threat to the apparel manufacturing industry since they can lead to immense property damage, potential loss of life, disruption of business operations, and reputational damage. In an emerging economy like Bangladesh, fire-related hazards are crucial due to the numerous deadly industrial fire incidents in recent years. This research, thereby, proposes an integrated multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) framework to identify and mitigate fire risk hazards in the apparel manufacturing industry.

Background: Phlebotomine sand flies serve as vectors for leishmaniasis, a major health concern, but a neglected tropical disease. The risk of vector activity is governed by climatic factors that vary in different geographic zones in the country. Thus, we aimed to quantify the effect of climatic variables on sand fly vector activity in ten sentinel sites across Sri Lanka.
