- The study aimed to assess the quality of frozen semen from manila ducks after cryopreservation using a specific extender with varying concentrations of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO).
- Fresh semen was collected, evaluated, and cryopreserved with DMSO at concentrations of 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, and 12%, with the effects analyzed through One-Way ANOVA.
- Results showed that DMSO at 8% and 6% concentrations significantly improved sperm motility and viability both after equilibration and thawing, with DMSO8 being identified as the most effective formulation for maintaining semen quality.
