Article Synopsis
  • Single-atom catalysts (SACs) are gaining attention for their high efficiency and resource use, yet creating multi-functional single-atom nanozymes for biosensors still poses challenges.
  • This research successfully developed a composite material, iron-doped carbon dots (Fe CDs) combined with Mo SACs, enhancing catalytic performance without altering the existing structure.
  • The new dual-mode sensor created can accurately detect hydrogen peroxide and uric acid, demonstrating effective sensitivity in human serum and urine samples while advancing the application of SACs in biosensing technology.

The model organism , as a species of Holometabola, undergoes a series of transformations during metamorphosis. To deeply understand its development, it is crucial to study its anatomy during the key developmental stages. We describe the anatomical systems of the thorax, including the endoskeleton, musculature, nervous ganglion, and digestive system, from the late pupal stage to the adult stage, based on micro-CT and 3D visualizations.

Nitrite is a typical food additive and preservative used in the food industry, which has attracted considerable attention due to its severe adverse effects on human health. Herein, a sensitive and highly selective ratiometric colorimetric sensing platform for the detection of nitrite was created based on a polymetallic oxide nanozyme, CoMnO nanofibers (CMO) catalysis integrated with the particular diazotization reaction. The nanozyme has superior oxidase-like activity ( was 0.

Objective: Endothelial function may improve with enhanced external counterpulsation (EECP) or acupuncture. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of acupoint stimulation combined with EECP (acupoint-EECP) for endothelial cell function in patients with essential hypertension.

Methods: Thirty essential hypertensive patients were, randomly divided into two groups, with 15 patients in the acupoint-EECP group, and 15 patients in the control group, of which 3 cases were lost by week 6.

Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Shexiang Baoxin Pill combined with exercise in heart failure patients with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF).

Methods: Sixty patients with HFpEF were randomly divided into group A (n=20), receiving Shexiang Baoxin Pill combined with home-based exercise training based on conventional drugs for 12 weeks; group B (n=20), receiving conventional drugs combined with home-based exercise training for 12 weeks; and group C (n=20), receiving conventional drug treatment only. Peak oxygen uptake (peakVO), anaerobic threshold (AT), 6-min walking test (6MWT), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and SF-36 questionnaire (SF-36) results before and after treatment were compared among groups.
