Causes of Vision Loss Associated with Dengue Fever in Bihar, India - A Case Series.

The incidence and geographic distribution of dengue has increased dramatically in recent years across various parts of the world. Previously, ocular findings in dengue fever were considered rare. We report a spectrum of ocular manifestations presenting with vision loss in the last dengue epidemic in an eastern state of India.

Relevance of health education to e-learning-associated problems among the school-going adolescents in Bareilly city: An interventional study.

Cangrelor for the management and prevention of arterial thrombosis.

Introduction: Despite advances in antiplatelet therapy, the optimum antithrombotic regimen during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) remains to be determined. Cangrelor is an intravenous, reversibly-binding platelet P2Y12 receptor antagonist with ultra-rapid onset and offset of action that is approved in Europe and United States for use in patients undergoing PCI. This article describes the background for the development of cangrelor, the biology, pharmacology and clinical evidence supporting its use, and its likely position in the future.

Novel Thioester Prodrug of N-acetylcysteine for Odor Masking and Bioavailability Enhancement.

Background: The mucolytic N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is used to control the excessive mucus secretion if mucus is the underlying cause of broncho-constriction. Its major drawbacks are poor bioavailability due to extensive first pass effect, poor lipophilicity, high protein binding and offensive odor.

Methods: For minimizing above shortcomings of NAC, in present study thioester (A1) prodrug of NAC was synthesized by conventional as well as microwave-assisted methods.

Context: Wound healing is a consequence of a complex process involving inflammatory, proliferative, and remodeling phases. Naringin, a flavanone glycoside, is associated with modulation of various oxido-inflammatory and growth factors.
