Unravelling faradaic electrochemical efficiencies over Fe/Co spinel metal oxides using surface spectroscopy and microscopy techniques.

Cobalt and iron metal-based oxide catalysts play a significant role in energy devices. To unravel some interesting parameters, we have synthesized metal oxides of cobalt and iron ( FeO, CoO, CoFeO and CoFeO), and measured the effect of the valence band structure, morphology, size and defects in the nanoparticles towards the electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). The compositional variations in the cobalt and iron precursors significantly alter the particle size from 60 to <10 nm and simultaneously the shape of the particles (cubic and spherical).

Epiganthus presenting as respiratory distress in a male neonate: A rare case report.

An epignathus is an extremely rare form of oropharyngeal teratoma that arises from the oral cavity, most commonly from the palate and is associated with a high mortality secondary to airway obstruction in the neonatal period. It predominantly occurs in females. Here, we are presenting a case of giant epignathus in a male baby with associated cleft palate.

A Peculiar Case of Hydatid Disease.

Hydatid disease primarily affects the liver which is the most common location. This article highlights a rare representation of the hydatid disease which has led to hematogenous spread of the disease and gives us a wider picture that how a common disease can have an uncommon presentation. Another point that is addressed in this research article is that the widely accepted classification systems for hydatid disease can be modified even further, making them even more accurate.

Background: Individuals with genetic syndromes show unique profiles of repetitive behaviours and restricted interests (RRBs). The executive dysfunction account of RRBs suggests that in autistic (AUT) individuals executive function impairments underpin RRBs, but not communication and social interaction autistic characteristics.

Aims: To 1) describe profiles of behavioural manifestations of executive function (EF behaviours) and 2) explore the relationship between EF behaviours and autistic traits across individuals with Cornelia de Lange (CdLS), fragile X (FXS) and Rubinstein-Taybi syndromes (RTS), and AUT individuals.

Oat Cell Carcinoma Lung Presenting as Chest Wall Swelling.

Chest wall swelling originating from lung is an uncommon phenomenon that makes its diagnosis a challenging task. We present a case where an 82-year-old man, a lifetime smoker, presented with a chest swelling. The origin of the swelling was an extension of a peripherally located lung malignancy diagnosed with the help of contrast-enhanced CT chest and confirmed as oat(or anaplastic) cell carcinoma on histology.

Bitterness in the waste residue of citrus products is one of the leading hindrance in its valorization and supplementation in other food products.

Facile synthesis of CNT interconnected PVP-ZIF-8 derived hierarchically porous Zn/N co-doped carbon frameworks for oxygen reduction.

In this work, a strategy has been adopted to construct an architecture through the coordination of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and a monodisperse zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-8), which was entwined by carbon nanotubes (CNTs) firstly, followed by a pyrolysis process to obtain the hybrid catalyst. The meticulous design of the hybrid material using CNTs to interconnect the PVP assisted ZIF-8 derived porous carbon frameworks together produces a hierarchical pore structure and dual-heteroatom (Zn/N) doping (Zn-N/PC@CNT). Without further acid treatment, the hybrid material prepared after pyrolysis at 900 °C (PVP-ZIF-8@CNT-900) has been demonstrated as an efficient non-precious metal catalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) with its superior stability compared to the commercial 20 wt% Pt/C catalyst in alkaline media.

Comparative study of various processes used for removal of bitterness from kinnow pomace and kinnow pulp residue.

The current study was focused on new approaches for debittering of by-products like kinnow pomace and kinnow pulp residue by using various food grade mild chemical methods, such as alkali treatment, acid treatment, and solventogenesis. Whereas in the studied various chemical treatments, the solventogenesis method with acetone resulted in maximum extraction of naringin and limonene from kinnow pomace and pulp residue and showed high acceptability for food product development. The acetone treatment was further optimized by RSM for the maximum extraction of naringin and limonene.

Disseminated Emergomyces pasteurianus Infection in India: A Case Report and a Review.

We report here a case of disseminated Emergomyces pasteurianus infection from India in a patient with AIDS. The patient presented with weight loss, dyspnoea and multiple non-tender skin lesions over face, neck and chest over 3 months. The case was diagnosed by microscopy, histopathology of sample and isolation of fungus from skin lesion, breast nodule, bone marrow and sputum.
