Spin Hall nano-oscillators convert DC to magnetic auto-oscillations in the microwave regime. Current research on these devices is dedicated to creating next-generation energy-efficient hardware for communication technologies. Despite intensive research on magnetic auto-oscillations within the past decade, the nanoscale mapping of those dynamics remained a challenge.

To date, studies related to the use of dual targeted HDAC inhibitor to treat cervical cancer are not well explored. Again, majority of the selective HDAC inhibitors discovered so far are hydroxamic acids, which have multiple adverse side-effects due to their strong zinc chelating ability.

Bifacial perovskite solar cells (Bi-PSCs) have attracted substantial attention within the photovoltaic (PV) community due to their potential for enhanced power generation, suitability for integration into building structures and applicability in multijunction PV systems. This study presents the fabrication of efficient Bi-PSCs and investigates their unique properties using various characterization techniques, including Lambertian reflection effects through tilt angle arrangements and bottom albedo illuminations. The control device achieved a maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 17.

Phase-selective organic gelator dye sorption and oil separation for oil adsorption should meet certain criteria such as facile synthesis, low cost, effective gelation, and recyclability. This study has discovered that an aliphatic chain synthetic amphiphile based on cholesterol can produce organogels in a variety of organic solvents.

Through our exploration, we have attained promising performance of electrochemical energy storage under the influence of an external magnetic field for future energy-based applications. In this work, a commercial sponge is used as a template for ultra-large graphene oxide (rULGO) functionalization, followed by the incorporation of CoO:BN without the inclusion of binders or conductive additives.

Few-layer transition metal dichalcogenides and perovskites are both promising materials in high-performance optoelectronic devices. Here, we developed a self-driven photodetector by creating a heterojunction between few-layer MoS and lead-free perovskite CsCuBr. The detector shows a unique property of very high sensitivity in a broad spectral range of 400 to 800 nm with response speed in a millisecond order.

The curcumin-nanoparticle was prepared based on the ionic-interaction method without using any chemical surfactants, and the particle-size, zeta-potential, surface-morphology, entrapmentefficiency, and in-vitro drug release study were used to optimise the formulation. The antioxidant activity was investigated using H2DCFDA staining in the zebrafish (Danio rerio) model.

Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous disorder of unclear cause notable for abnormal elevation of blood and tissue ACE1 (angiotensin converting enzyme 1) levels and activity. ACE1 regulates the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), the terminal product of which is aldosterone, which selectively engages mineralocorticoid receptors to promote inflammation. We sought to determine whether the RAAS promotes sarcoidosis granuloma formation and related inflammatory responses.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study at a tertiary academic center of consecutive patients who received at least one dose of ICI from 2013 to 2020. Patient characteristics, risk factors, and outcomes were compared between patients with and without SLR following ICI treatment.
The anti-apoptotic proteins, Bcl-2 and Survivin, are consistently overexpressed in numerous human malignancies, notably in colorectal cancer. 2,4-Di-tert-butylphenol (2,4-DTBP) is a naturally occurring phenolic compound known for its diverse biological activities, including anti-cancer properties. The mechanism behind 2,4-DTBP-induced inhibition of cell proliferation and apoptosis in human colorectal cancer cells, specifically regarding Bcl-2 and Survivin, remains to be elucidated.

To address the MOF's low electronic conductivity, a 2D NiCo-MOF is grown on MXene nanosheets, enhancing conductivity and providing abundant redox-active sites. BN (boron nitride) serves a dual purpose, preventing restacking and facilitating charge injection toward NiCo-MOF.

When a twisted blilayer of graphene (tBLG) is placed at the van der Waals proximity to a semiconducting layer of transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC), such as WSe, the emergent phases in the tBLG can fundamentally modify the functionality of such heterostructures. Here we have performed photoresponse measurements in few-layer-WSe/tBLG heterostructure, where the mis-orientation angle of the tBLG layer was chosen to lie close to the magic angle of 1.

Background: Adrenal insufficiency (AI) in hemoglobin E (HbE)/beta thalassemia, including evaluation of mineralocorticoid axis, had not been studied.
Aims And Objectives: In this study, we attempted to evaluate the prevalence of AI in HbE/beta thalassemia and wanted to determine if the prevalence of AI varied according to severity of HbE/beta thalassemia and transfusion requirements.
Methods: In this observational, cross-sectional study, 104 patients with HbE/beta thalassemia were evaluated.
Objective: To adapt to metabolically challenging environments, the central nervous system (CNS) orchestrates metabolism of peripheral organs including skeletal muscle. The organ-communication between the CNS and skeletal muscle has been investigated, yet our understanding of the neuronal pathway from the CNS to skeletal muscle is still limited. Neurons in the dorsomedial and central parts of the ventromedial hypothalamic nucleus (VMHdm/c) expressing steroidogenic factor-1 (VMHdm/c neurons) are key for metabolic adaptations to exercise, including increased basal metabolic rate and skeletal muscle mass in mice.
