In addition, the study evaluated the effect of repeated dental examinations and oral hygiene motivation on daily flossing, brushing frequency, dietary habits, and gingival status.
Methods: The study was a randomized, controlled, prospective, and parallel-designed clinical trial.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify microorganisms isolated from various periapical tissue diseases using Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) and classify them via an unsupervised machine learning approach.
Methods: A total of 150 patients with various apical conditions and teeth in need of endodontic retreatment were divided into five groups, including Retreatment, Acute Apical Abscess, Chronic Apical Abscess, Acute Apical Periodontitis, and Chronic Apical Periodontitis. Samples were collected from root canals using paper points after agitating with a #10 K file then microorganisms were identified using MALDI-TOF-MS.
Background: Prenatal stress is a significant risk factor affecting pregnant women and fetal health. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the effect of immobility stress at different periods of pregnancy on oxidative stress, inflammation, placental apoptosis and intrauterine growth retardation in rats.
Methods: Fifty adult virgin female Wistar albino rats were used.
Individuals in industrialized societies frequently include processed foods in their diet. However, overconsumption of heavily processed foods leads to imbalanced calorie intakes as well as negative health consequences and environmental impacts. In the present study, normal-weight healthy individuals were recruited in order to test whether associative learning (Evaluative Conditioning, EC) could strengthen the association between food-types (minimally processed and heavily processed foods) and concepts (e.

Colistin, tigecycline and aminoglycosides are almost the only and last choice antibiotics in the treatment of infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales members. Ceftazidime-avibactam is a novel antibiotic combination consisting of a broad-spectrum cephalosporin and avibactam with good antimicrobial activity against carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales members.

Azithromycin presents a good alternative treatment option for Salmonella and Shigella infections. However, there are limited data regarding the susceptibility of azithromycin in Turkey.

We aimed to investigate the association between MetS and its separate components with BD among naturally postmenopausal women. Data of 494 postmenopausal patients who were admitted to our outpatient clinic between December 2012 and July 2015 were retrospectively reviewed.

Methods: A total of 174 K. pneumoniae strains were included in this study.
Detection and identification of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in clinical microbiology laboratories are important for the selection of appropriate treatment and obtaining epidemiological data. mecC gene, is a mecA homologue, showing almost 69% DNA similarity with the mecA gene and the encoded protein by this gene shows almost 63% similarity with the PBP2a/2' protein. Several studies indicated that mecC positive MRSA strains can be transmitted from the livestock to humans by cross contamination.
