Introduction: Clean intermittent catheterization (CIC) is often used for bladder emptying in children with lower urinary tract dysfunction. Until recently, the emphasis in assessing the effects of CIC has been on preserving kidney function, reducing urinary tract infection, and achieving urinary continence. Purpose: To explore the recalled experiences of women with CP regarding sexual health education and services they received.

Methods: Semi-structured interviews and focus groups were conducted at four academic tertiary hospitals with 33 adult women with CP. Templates were used to ask about four key content domains: appointment planning (including planning for a gynecologic exam), accessibility of services, experiences with providers, and recommendations for improvement.

In Guatemala, adolescent health indicators are collected using the (SIA), a clinical survey developed by the Pan-American Health Organization. Recent analysis revealed significant gaps in data, limiting the ability of clinicians and policy makers to effectively address health disparities. Context: Mutations in melanocortin receptor (MC4R) are the most common cause of monogenic obesity in children of European ancestry, but little is known about their prevalence in children from the minority populations in the United States.

Objective: This study aims to identify the prevalence of MC4R mutations in children with severe early-onset obesity of African American or Latino ancestry.

Design And Setting: Participants were recruited from the weight management clinics at two hospitals and from the institutional biobank at a third hospital.

This project examines how women who currently use natural family planning (NFP), those who formerly used NFP, and those who have never used NFP compare along demographic, socioeconomic, and attitudinal variables. Bivariate analyses of data from the National Survey of Family Growth 2006-2010 (N = 10,598 female respondents) suggest that current NFP users varied socioeconomically and demographically from former NFP users, but differences were more prominent between current NFP users and never NFP users. In many cases, there was little variation between former NFP users and never NFP users.
