Physical examination and computed tomography angiography (CTA) are used for diagnosing arterial injury in extremity trauma. In recent years, CTA has been overused to obtain more objective data. Our study aimed to investigate the effect of using CTA for the management of patients with extremity penetrating injuries, specifically in cases where vascular injury was not detected during initial examination.

In Resistance to Thyroid Hormone Syndrome α (RTHα), certain TRα1 mutants have higher affinity for nuclear corepressor 1 (NCoR1) and may form stable complexes that are not released in the presence of T3. Here, we examined whether NCoR1 modulates intranuclear mobility and nuclear retention of TRα1 or RTHα-associated mutants in transfected human cells, as a way of analyzing critical structural components of TRα1 and to further explore the correlation between mutations in TRα1 and aberrant intracellular trafficking.

We aimed to compare the differences in retinal and optic nerve head blood flow after 2 surgical methods. The ipsilateral eyes of 34 patients who had over 50% ICAS with no ocular findings and 30 healthy controls were included in the study.

This study focused on removing bentazone from water using three different methods: a two and three-dimensional electro-oxidation process (2D/EOP and 3D/EOP) with a fluid-type reactor arrangement using tetraethylenepentamine-loaded particle electrodes and an adsorption method. Additionally, we analysed the effects of two types of supporting electrolytes (NaSO and NaCl) on the degradation process.

Our study included patients who were affected by the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaras/Turkey on February 6, 2023 and were diagnosed with crush injuries. The study was a retrospective observational study.

Portal vein ligation (PVL) prior to hepatectomy is subsequently introduced to increase the remnant liver volume and improve the outcome of hepatic malignancy. IL-22 has previously been reported to promote liver regeneration, while facilitating tumor development in the liver via Steap4 upregulation.

Aim: To predict relapse severity in MS and investigate the relationship between relapse severity and the degree of improvement in physical, cognitive, and social tests.
The COVID-19 pandemic remains a significant public health concern despite the new vaccines and therapeutics. The clinical course of acute SARS-CoV-2 infection is highly variable and influenced by several factors related to the virus and the host. Numerous genetic studies, including candidate gene, exome, and genome sequencing studies, genome-wide association studies, and other omics efforts, have proposed various Mendelian and non-Mendelian associations with COVID-19 course.

Methods: A total of 30 female Wistar-Albino rats constituted the research material. The rats were categorized into three groups: Group 1 was administered one milliliter of 0.
HD-maps are one of the core components of the self-driving pipeline. Despite the effort of many companies to develop a completely independent vehicle, many state-of-the-art solutions rely on high-definition maps of the environment for localization and navigation. Nevertheless, the creation process of such maps can be complex and error-prone or expensive if performed ad-hoc surveys.

Method: The study was carried out in ten community mental health centers from six provinces. The clinical characteristics, causes of death, course of the illness and treatment characteristics of the patients who had a death report from the date the community mental health centers were opened until the start date of the study were analyzed by retrospective file scanning method.
Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the ability of the biomarkers to predict the surgery treatment and mortality in patients above 18 years of age who were hospitalized with the diagnosis of bowel obstruction from the emergency department.
Methods: This is a 2-year retrospective study. The patients' demographic data, laboratory parameters on admission to emergency department, treatment modalities, and the length of hospital stay were recorded.

The aim of this study is to identify potential drug-like molecules against SARS-CoV-2 virus among the natural antiviral compounds published in the Encyclopedia of Traditional Chinese Medicine. To test inhibition capability of these compounds first, we docked them with Spike protein, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) (PDB ID: 6M0J) and neuropilin 1 (NRP1) (PDB ID: 7JJC) receptors, and found significant docking scores with extra precision up to -11 kcal/mol. Then, their stability in the binding pockets were further evaluated with molecular dynamics simulation.

Antenna parameters were optimized using an electromagnetic simulator. We observed repeatable sub-terahertz emissions from each mesa fabricated on identical BiSrCaCuO base crystals in a continuous frequency range of 0.

Purpose: This study aimed to compare the first-trimester pregnancy serum total oxidative status (TOS), total antioxidant status (TAS), and serum estradiol levels as well as the olfactory functions assessed using the brief smell identification test (BSIT) of women with healthy pregnancies and those with hyperemesis gravidarum (HG).
Methods: In this prospective study, 60 pregnant women in the first trimester of their pregnancies were divided into two groups: 30 pregnant women with HG (study group) and 30 healthy pregnant women (control group). The following parameters were compared in the HG group and the healthy controls: TOS, TAS, serum levels of estradiol (E2), and olfactory function, which was measured using BSIT.
Rationale: Maternal psychosocial stress might be associated with development of allergic diseases in the offspring.
Objectives: To evaluate the association of maternal depression and anxiety with ever wheezing and recurrent wheezing among infants and to assess the role of maternal hypothalamo-pituatary-adrenal axis changes and fetal immune response in this association.
Methods: This study encompasses two designs; cohort design was developed to evaluate the association of prenatal depression with development of wheezing in infants while nested case-control design was used to assess the role of maternal cortisol and tetranectin and cord blood interleukin 13 and interferon γ.
Introduction: Clinically non-functioning pituitary adenomas (NFPA) are common tumours of the pituitary gland and are mainly considered as benign. The primary aim of this study was to research the effects of NFPA on genome instability in patients with non-functioning pituitary adenoma by using the cytokinesis-block micronucleus cytome (CBMN-cyt) assay and 8-hydroxy- 2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) assay. The second objective of this study was to assess whether there is a relationship between age, pituitary adenoma diameters, 8-OHDG levels, CBMN site assay parameters, and tumour aggressiveness.
