Diagnosis of uterine smooth muscle tumors depends upon histologic characteristics as both benign and malignant share clinical features such as metastases. A benign metastasizing leiomyoma is a rare benign smooth muscle tumor that metastasizes to extrauterine sites with simultaneous uterine leiomyoma or previously biopsy-proven leiomyoma during myomectomy or hysterectomy. Benign metastasizing leiomyoma metastasizes outside the uterus, predominantly to the lungs and lymph nodes.

The infection is caused when Spike-protein (S-protein) present on the surface of SARS-CoV-2 interacts with human cell surface receptor, Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2). This binding facilitates SARS-CoV-2 genome entry into the human cells, which in turn causes infection.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAim: Uterine transplantation (UTx) has been proposed as a treatment for permanent absolute uterine factor infertility. The study aims were to compare pulse oximetry and multispectral imaging (MSI), for intraoperative tracking of uterine oxygen saturation in animal UTx models (rabbit and sheep).
Results/methodology: Imaging results confirmed the re-establishment of adequate perfusion in the transplanted organ after surgery.
