Background: Infection by SARS-CoV2 has become a challenge, especially for immunocompromised patients who show a weaker humoral response to COVID-19 vaccine. Tixagevimab+cilgavimab (Evusheld) is a combination of human monoclonal antibodies that can be used for pre-exposure prophylaxis to prevent infection or disease by SARS-CoV2.
Objectives: Our study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Evusheld by comparing an Exposed and an Unexposed group.
A 41-year-old man who currently smokes with previous sporadic use of cocaine and cannabinoids was admitted at the hospital suffering from hemoptysis which had developed 4 days before. The patient was on anticoagulant therapy with rivaroxaban due to paroxysmal atrial fibrillation diagnosed in 2018, for which he had undergone pulmonary vein electrical isolation by radiofrequency and ablation of cavotricuspid isthmus in January 2019. The procedure was completed in July 2019.
