Background: Patients with non-obstructive coronary artery disease (NOCAD) continue to experience disabling symptoms. Positive affect (PA) has shown a cardioprotective potential. Type D personality has previously been shown to have a deleterious effect on adverse outcomes in diverse cardiac populations.
