[Avastin a treatment of diabetic macular edema].

Macular edema is the first cause of visual impairment in diabetic patient. This paper is a retrospective evaluation of a group of patients with diabetic retinopathy and macular edema, treated with intravitreal Avastin (Bevacizumab) injection. The patients have been monitored mainly by assessing the evolution of visual acuity and macular thickness (OCT), after treatment, and the results have been compared with preexisting literature data.

[The role of diagnostic imaging in pediatric ophthalmology].

The paper underlines the importance of the imagistic examination in the diagnosis and the therapeutical orientation in an orbital injury in a four-year-old child. The orbital injury ends with a foreign body (fragment of a pencil) in the orbit. The situation and the orientation of the foreign body was revealed by the computer tomography and the MIMICS program.

[Therapeutic schedule in ambliopia--experience of Eye Clinic Cluj].

The Purpose: To establlsh a protocol for the treatment of amblyopia and the methods used to maintain the results (visual acuity).

Material And Methods: Fifty children with amblyopia were treated in the Pediatric Ophthalmology Department of the Ophthalmological Cllnic in Cluj. Full time occlusion was used in all children.

[Diplopia through toxic myopathy after cataract surgery].

Unlabelled: Cataract surgery is one of the most successful procedures in the last decades. In this paper we present the evolution and the treatment results in four cases of post cataract surgery diplopia, analyzing the causes influencing the outcome of strabismus.

Material And Method: In the last three years, four cases of post cataract surgery diplopia have been diagnosed in the Ophthalmological Clinic of Cluj.
