Geometrical and dosimetric evaluation of breast target volume auto-contouring.

Background And Purpose: Automatic delineations are often used as a starting point in the radiotherapy contouring workflow, after which they are manually reviewed and adapted. The purpose of this work was to quantify the geometric differences between automatic and manually edited breast clinical target volume (CTV) contours and evaluate the dosimetric impact of such differences.

Mercury is a metal widely dispersed in nature that when in contact with human organism, it damages the cardiovascular system. Long-term mercury exposure for 30 days induces endothelial dysfunction without blood pressure changes in normotensive adult rats. However, it is not known whether exposure to mercury can exacerbate endothelial dysfunction and hypertension development in predisposed animals.

Background: This research is recommended by the Myopathy Committee of the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology for the investigation and diagnosis of systemic autoimmune myopathies. BODY: A systematic literature review was performed in the Embase, Medline (PubMed) and Cochrane databases, including studies published until October 2018. PRISMA was used for the review, and the articles were evaluated, based on the Oxford levels of evidence.

The treatment of slaughterhouse wastewater was investigated by both acid precipitations and by oxidation processes. Precipitation tests were developed using three acids (HSO, HCl and HNO) at different operating pH (1-6). Their life cycle involves insects, including beetles, cockroaches and crickets, as intermediate hosts. This study describes a new species of Physaloptera and reports molecular phylogenetic analyses to determine its relationships within the family Physalopteridae.

Influence of the HIV GWG variant in the HIV infection progression in mono and HCV coinfected patients.
