Features of the Formation of Sensitive Films Based on Mycelium of Higher Fungi for Surface and Plate Acoustic Waves Gas Sensors.

A comparative analysis of the responses of two types of acoustic waves (surface SAW and plate APW) with close frequencies and the same type of waves (SAW) with different frequencies toward various liquid vapors (water, acetone, ethanol) was carried out in this paper. Two types of films based on mycelium of higher fungus (Curtis) P. Karst () prepared by various methods were used as sensitive coatings.

High peak optical power of 1ns pulse duration from laser diodes - low voltage thyristor vertical stack.

It is shown that the use of low-voltage GaAs/AlGaAs thyristors as high-speed and high-current switches in vertical stacks with semiconductor lasers ensures the efficient generation of high-power ns-duration laser pulses. The lasing and current dynamics in vertical stacks based on laser diode mini bar emitting at 1060 nm and a single as well as a double thyristor switch is studied. The possibility is demonstrated that a laser diode mini bar (with 3 laser emitters) together with a single thyristor switch can generate laser pulses with a peak power of 6 W with a duration of 950 ps and a peak current of 12 A for an operating voltage of 28 V.

[Contemporary aspects of using sildenafil].

Sildenafil has been thoroughly studied in 74 registered double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials assessing the efficacy and safety of the drug in a total of more than 16 000 men with erectile dysfunction (ED). However, practicing urologists have some questions regarding administering the drug in patients with multiple comorbidities. In this review, on a par with the now "classic" research, we outline the latest updates of meta-analyzes and comparative studies relating to the use of sildenafil in different groups of patients.

Generation of nanosecond and subnanosecond laser pulses by AlGaAs/GaAs laser-thyristor with narrow mesa stripe contact.

Lasers-thyristors with a narrow (20 μm) mesa stripe contact have been studied. It was shown that the laser peak power reaches a value of 2.5 W in the long-pulse mode at a pulse width of 13 ns.

Synthesis, molecular and electronic structures of six-coordinate transition metal (Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn) complexes with redox-active 9-hydroxyphenoxazin-1-one ligands.

A series of pseudo-octahedral metal (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn) complexes 4 of a new redox-active ligand, 2,4,6,8-tetra(tert-butyl)-9-hydroxyphenoxazin-1-one 3, have been synthesized, and their molecular structures determined with help of X-ray crystallography. The effective magnetic moments of complexes 4 (M = Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni) measured in the solid state and toluene solution point to the stabilization of their high-spin electronic ground states. Detailed information on the electronic structure of the complexes and their redox-isomeric forms has been obtained using density functional theory (DFT) B3LYP*/6-311++G(d,p) calculations.

[Features of adaptive changes in the knee joints of fencers exposed to specialized loads].

Sportsman-fencers (683 persons) of various qualification and types of fencing (sabre fencers, foil fencers, swordsmen) have been roentgenologically examined. Of them 97 have been examined for the second time in a year. For a comparison 204 persons nonsportsmen have been examined.
