Labrune's Syndrome Presenting With Stereotypy-Like Movements and Psychosis: A Case Report and Review.

Labrune's syndrome, or leukoencephalopathy with brain calcifications and cysts (LCC), is a rare genetic syndrome with variable neurological presentations. Psychiatric manifestations and involuntary movements are uncommonly reported. We report the case of a 19-year-old female, initially diagnosed with Fahr's syndrome, who presented to us with acute psychosis, abnormal behavior and involuntary movements.

Pyoderma gangrenosum and cobalamin deficiency in systemic lupus erythematosus: a rare but non fortuitous association.

Background: Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is an uncommon, idiopathic, ulcerative neutrophilic dermatosis. In many cases, PG is associated with a wide variety of different disorders but SLE in association with PG is relatively uncommon. In this article we present the case of a middle aged patient with PG as the initial clinical presentation of SLE.

Knowledge of Acute Stroke Management Among Healthcare Professionals: Development and Validation of Acute Stroke Management Questionnaire (ASMaQ).

Background: Around 15.0% of all strokes occurred in hospitalised patients and studies showed significant delay in the stroke recognition and lack of awareness on thrombolytic therapy for acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) which lead to higher mortality for in-hospital stroke. We aimed to develop and validate a new instrument known as acute stroke management questionnaire (ASMaQ) to evaluate the awareness of healthcare professionals in managing acute ischaemic stroke cases.

"Fleshy" Skin Cellulitis: A Triggering Factor for ANCA Associated Vasculitis.

A 59-year-old lady with underlying hypothyroidism presented with acute contact dermatitis progressed to cellulitis with superimposed bacterial infection and acute kidney injury. She responded to initial management with antibiotics, but a week later, she had cutaneous and systemic vasculitis. Her skin biopsy consistent with immune-mediated leuko-cytoclastic vasculitis and her blood test was positive for cytoplasmic-anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (c-ANCA).
