Objectives: The purpose of this study was to measure the association between the level of physical activity and sedentary conditions with anthropometric measurements of children and adolescents.
Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study consisted of a convenience sample of 400 children and adolescents from public schools in Itapevi-SP, Brazil. The Physical Activity Checklist Interview or LAF "Lista de Atividades Físicas" in a Brazilian version, was administered in a face-to-face interview on a school day and allowed assessment of sedentary behavior and physical activity on the previous day.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the odds ratio of occurrence of pain, postural changes, and disabilities of violinists. Thirty-eight violinists were assessed. Photographs from anterior, posterior, and lateral views were taken and analyzed using Software of Postural Analysis.

Purpose: COVID-19 posed numerous challenges to educational programs that had to quickly adapt to remote online learning (ROL) to ensure the continuity of health professional training over the pandemic. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess the influence of sex and body mass index (BMI) on the thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis of adolescents and to assess the reliability and agreement of the flexicurve method for these measurements.
Methods: The study included 217 adolescents of both sexes, aged between 11 and 15 years, who were students from municipal schools in the city of São José dos Campos in São Paulo. The measurement of thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis angles was performed using the flexicurve method.
Unlabelled: Plantar fasciitis (PF) is a prevalent musculoskeletal disease, with inflammation at the origin of the plantar fascia, that affects sedentary people, particularly middle-aged women. Foot pain and functional limitations lead patients to seek treatment. Investigate the therapeutic effect of conservative treatment combining a custom insole with minimalist flexible shoes and the shoes alone in a gait-training protocol, in the short and long term, in women with PF.

Methods: A total of 520 adolescents aged 10 to 16 years old were assessed. The students were administered the self-reported Back Pain and Body Posture Evaluation Instrument questionnaire.
The increase in overweight and the physical inactivity in children and adolescents in the last years have been causing constant concerns. The comprehension of the postural patterns contributes to the prevention of postural deviations that could predispose to future pain and disabilities. Context: Restriction in ankle dorsiflexion range of motion (ROM) has been previously associated with excessive dynamic knee valgus. This, in turn, has been correlated with knee pain in women with patellofemoral pain.
Objectives: To investigate the immediate effect of 3 ankle mobilization techniques on dorsiflexion ROM, dynamic knee valgus, knee pain, and patient perceptions of improvement in women with patellofemoral pain and ankle dorsiflexion restriction.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the postural alignment of children with visual impairment with that of children without visual impairment.
Methods: The sample studied was 74 children of both sexes ages 5 to 12 years. Of these, 34 had visual impairment and 40 were control children.
Objective: The objective of this study was to describe the posture patterns of adolescents diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) in a scoliosis school screening (SSS).
Methods: Two-dimensional photogrammetry was used to assess the posture of 37 adolescents diagnosed with scoliosis (scoliosis group, SG) (Cobb angle ≥10°) and 76 adolescents with a false positive diagnosis (false positive group, FPG) (Cobb angle <10°, angle of trunk rotation ≥7°). In total, 2562 10- to 14-year-old adolescents were enrolled in the SSS, which was performed in public schools in the cities of Amparo, Pedreira, and Mogi Mirim in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of hip rotation on the recruitment of the GM, tensor fasciae latae (TFL), and quadratus lumborum (QL).
Background: The risk factors for the development of plantar fasciitis (PF) have been associated with the medial longitudinal arch (MLA), rearfoot alignment and calcaneal overload. However, the relationships between the biomechanical variables have yet to be determined.
Objective: The goal of this study was to investigate the relationships between the MLA, rearfoot alignment, and dynamic plantar loads in runners with unilateral PF in acute and chronic phases.
Aim/hypothesis: The etiology of plantar fasciitis (PF) has been related to several risk factors, but the magnitude of the plantar load is the most commonly described factor. Although PF is the third most-common injury in runners, only two studies have investigated this factor in runners, and their results are still inconclusive regarding the injury stage.
Objective: Analyze and compare the plantar loads and vertical loading rate during running of runners in the acute stage of PF to those in the chronic stage of the injury in relation to healthy runners.

Background: Chronic non-specific low back pain is a major socioeconomic public health issue worldwide and, despite the volume of research in the area, it is still a difficult-to-treat condition. The conservative analgesic therapy usually comprises a variety of pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies, such as transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation. The neuromatrix pain model and the new findings on the process of chronicity of pain point to a higher effectiveness of treatments that address central rather than peripheral structures.
