The aims of radiotherapeutic treatment of brain metastases include maintaining neurocognitive function and improvement of survival. Based on these premises, we present a case report in which the role of repeat stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) was investigated in a patient with a recurrent brain metastasis from non-small cell lung cancer in the same area as previously treated with radiosurgery. A 40-year-old male caucasian patient was diagnosed with brain metastasis from non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and underwent SRS.

Aim: The aim of the present report is to review a mono-institutional experience of postoperative radiotherapy in selected patients with cervical cancer.

Patients And Methods: Between 1999 and 2008, fifty-one patients with high-risk stage IB cervical cancer underwent tailored adjuvant postoperative radiotherapy; concurrent chemoradiotherapy was administered to patients presenting a high risk of recurrence. The median follow-up was 58 months.

Purpose: To assess the feasibility and effectiveness of perioperative high-dose-rate brachytherapy for recurrent malignant gliomas.

Patients And Methods: Between 2005 and 2008, 21 patients (14 males and seven females) with relapsed malignant glioma underwent a second surgery followed by a brachytherapy implant in the surgical cavity. Median age was 60 years, and median Karnofsky performance status 80.
