Objectives: Second-generation direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) have shown high efficacy in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections in clinical trials. This study aimed to estimate the effectiveness in real-life conditions and their capacity to eliminate HCV infection in the general population.
Methods: In this observational cohort study, patients with active HCV infection who commenced DAA treatment between 2015 and 2020 in Navarre, Spain, were studied.

Epiploic appendicitis is a benign and self-limited disease, due to inflammation of the epiploic appendices. The diagnosis is established by imaging techniques, avoiding treatments, interventions and unnecessary hospitalizations. Management is conservative.

Oral lesions rarely extend to the esophageal mucosa, but when they do, the most frequent symptoms are dysphagia and odynophagia. There is often a significant delay in diagnosis and inadequate treatment.
