Sixteen patients with ocular criteria of Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA) were studied. Neurological examination was normal in 11 of 16 patients. The electroencephalogram was normal in six of eight patients, while two had nonspecific theta slowing.

We report the case of a 41 year old lady with high hypermetropia and optic disc drusen (ODD) in both eyes. A recent study has shown that ODD has a greater tendency to form in eyes with a small scleral canal. It would therefore seem probable to find a higher rate of ODD in hypermetropic eyes.

Fifty-seven eyes of 49 patients with senile retinoschisis were treated by argon laser photocoagulation and followed up for 3 to 6 years. In most of the treated eyes the retinoschisis either completely or partially collapsed and in none did the retinoschisis or loss of visual field progress further. No long-term complications due to the treatment were noted.
