Propylene oxide, CHCHOCH, is the first chiral molecule detected in space and the third C3 oxide detected toward the Sagittarius B2 (Sgr B2 (N)) molecular cloud, the others being propanal, CHCHCHO, and acetone, (CH)CO. With homochirality being ubiquitous in the building blocks of living matter, the formation and decay paths of propylene oxide in space are of specific interest. The present study investigated the levels of As, Ag, Al, Ba, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Pb, Se, and Zn in muscle samples of six fish species (Pygocentrus nattereri, Serrasalmus marginatus, Mylossoma duriventre, Leporinus friderici, Pimelodus argenteus, and P. pantaneiro) highly consumed by local riverine and non-resident people in middle Miranda River, southern Brazilian Pantanal. Purpose: Our study aimed to compare the immediate and prolonged effects of submaximal eccentric (ECC) and concentric (CON) fatiguing protocols on the etiology of hamstrings' motor performance fatigue.

Methods: On separate days, 16 males performed sets of 5 unilateral ECC or CON hamstrings' contractions at 80% of their 1 Repetition Maximum (1 RM) until a 20% decrement in maximal voluntary isometric contraction (MVC) torque was reached.
