Nursing Process implementation in a gerontogeriatric context: qualitative research.

Objective: to describe Nursing Process implementation in a faith-based senior living community.

Method: strategic action research with 19 nursing professionals and three managers of a faith-based senior living community. Implementation took place in four phases: diagnosis, planning, implementation and assessment.

Efficacy of auriculotherapy for decreasing anxiety and stress among perioperative nursing workers: a mixed study.

Objective: to analyze the effectiveness of auriculotherapy for decreasing anxiety and stress of perioperative nursing professionals.

Method: mixed methods research, embedded experimental model. In the quantitative stage, a randomized, triple-blind clinical trial was conducted with perioperative nursing professionals, who answered a characterization questionnaire, the List of Signs and Symptoms of Stress, and the General Anxiety Disorder-GAD 7.

Nursing Process for institutionalized older adults: contributions from knowledge awareness workshop.

Objective: To analyze the knowledge of professionals working in a Nursing Home about the Nursing Process before and after the awareness workshop.

Methods: This is strategic action research, developed with nursing professionals and managers of a Nursing Home in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Data were collected between January and June 2023, through semi-structured interviews before and after an awareness workshop.

Nursing diagnosis in older adults at risk for pressure injury.

Objective: To develop nursing diagnoses and care plans for older adults with pressure injuries based on risk factors, aiming at preventing their occurrence in hospitalized older adults.

Method: Exploratory, descriptive, cross-sectional, quantitative study conducted with 87 medical records at the Medical Clinic Unit of a University Hospital.

Results: Among older adults at some risk for the development of pressure injury, there was a prevalence of the female sex, age over 80 years and moderate risk classification on the Braden Scale.

Awareness-raising workshops on (geronto)technologies for elderly/family care: contributions to knowledge.

Objective: to describe the contributions of awareness-raising workshops to the knowledge of students in health courses about care (geronto)technologies for elderly people/family.

Methods: a strategic action research, developed with 12 students from the last semester of nursing, physiotherapy, dentistry and occupational therapy from a university in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Data were collected from September to December 2019, through semi-structured interviews, before and after awareness-raising workshops, and submitted to content analysis.

Awareness raising workshop for nursing students on the elderly with Alzheimer's disease: contributions to education.

Objective: To describe the contribution of an awareness-raising workshop for nursing students on Alzheimer's disease in the context of the elderly/family.

Methods: Strategic action-research developed with 15 university students from the sixth to the eighth semester of Nursing at a university institution in the Rio Grande do Sul. The data collected through semi-structured interviews, before and after an awareness-raising workshop on Alzheimer's disease in elderly/family, were subjected to thematic content analysis.

Care-educational technologies: an emerging concept of the praxis of nurses in a hospital context.

Objective: to know the praxis of nurses in the hospital context and, from this, to define a concept about Care-Educational Technologies.

Method: qualitative, exploratory-descriptive research, developed in a university hospital in Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil, with 21 nurses (non-probabilistic sampling), through non-participant observation and semi-structured interview, conducted from March to December 2015. Records were analyzed through content analysis.

Complex educational and care (geron)technology for elderly individuals/families experiencing Alzheimer's disease.

Objective: To describe the contributions of the Integrated Multidisciplinary Care Group for Caregivers of Individuals with Alzheimer's Disease as an educational and care (geron)technology in the context of Alzheimer's disease in elderly individuals from the perspective of family members/caregivers.

Method: Exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach conducted with 13 family members/caregivers of elderly people participating in the support group of a university institution of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Data collected between January and April 2016 through a semi-structured interview were submitted to discursive textual analysis.

[Contributions of ludic care in nursing to chemical detoxification due to the use of crack cocaine].

Objective: to understand the contributions of ludic care in nursing by stimulating the acceptance of chemical detoxification from crack on the perception of people in the detoxification process.

Methods: an exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, performed with five people hospitalized for chemical detoxification from crack, from March to July 2013 in a chemical detox unit of a midsize hospital in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul. Data was collected using a semi-structured interview and was subjected to content analysis.

[Integrative review: a portrait of death and its implications in academic teaching].

This is an integrative literature review aimed at finding out how death, teaching about death and the dying process have been addressed in scientific publications in the health field. The research was performed using the Literatura da América Latina e Caribe em Ciências da Saúde e Base de Dados em Enfermagem (Latin America and Caribe Health Sciences Literature and Nursing Database) databases with the descriptors "death" and "teach". The survey covered national publications between 1998 and 2010, 14 articles were selected to compose the corpus of the study.
