Objectives: Evaluation of the validity of the Quadruple-D score in the prediction of success in pediatric stone disease.
Materials And Methods: Of the 292 children treated with SWL between 2007 and 2023, a total of 158 children who had adequate follow-up data and evaluated with non-contrast computed tomography before SWL, were included in the study. Parameters were calculated for each of the stone volume (SV), skin-to-stone distance (SSD), stone density (SD) and stone location (SL) variables.
Purpose: We aimed to investigate controversial pediatric urolithiasis issues systematically, integrating expert consensus and comprehensive guidelines reviews.
Methods: Two semi-structured online focus group meetings were conducted to discuss the study's need and content, review current literature, and prepare the initial survey. Data were collected through surveys and focus group discussions.
Objective: To identify any self-reported differences or attitudes towards certification, publication, or practice patterns between adult urology and paediatric general surgery-trained paediatric urology providers. There are no known published differences in clinical/operative/research outcomes in either group.
Methods: An 18-item cross-sectional survey was compiled through the EAU Young Academic Urologists (YAU) office and disseminated to a trans-Atlantic convenience sample of current practising paediatric urologists.
Introduction: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) has become a significant cause of death and morbidity in childhood since the elucidation of infectious causes within the last century. Mortality rates in this population decreased over time due to developments in technology and effective treatment modalities.
Aim Of The Study: This retrospective cohort study aimed to describe the volume, severity and mechanism of all hospital-admitted pediatric TBI patients at a university hospital over a 5-year period.
Purpose: Bladder and bowel dysfunction is a common but underdiagnosed pediatric entity which may represent up to 47% of pediatric urology consults. The objectives of this observational study were to determine functional 1-year outcomes following standard treatment of bladder and bowel dysfunction in both control and neuropsychiatric developmental disorder groups using validated questionnaires, and to perform an initial cost analysis.
Materials And Methods: This was a prospective observational study conducted across a number of academic European centers (July 2020-November 2022) for new bladder and bowel dysfunction patients.
Incidence of urolithiasis in children has increased in recent years and with technological advancements and miniaturization of surgical instruments, pediatric urologists have acquired an impressive arsenal for their treatment. Retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) has gained widespread popularity as it is a natural extension of semirigid ureteroscopy and can be done through natural orifice minimizing the morbidity of percutaneous access. The aim of this narrative review is to describe how RIRS has evolved over the decades in children and if the age-related anatomical difference impacts reported outcomes especially stone-free rate (SFR) and complications.

Methods: The retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted at AfyonKocatepe University Medical Faculty, Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, from January 1, 2014, to December 31, 2016, and comprised data of patients who presented to the department of paediatric surgery and paediatrics with symptoms of acute abdomen. Mean platelet volume, neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio, lymphocyte/monocyte ratio, and platelet/lymphocyte ratio of the patients calculated at the time of admission were analysed.
Background And Aims: The objective of this update of the EAU-ESPU guidelines recommendations for nocturnal enuresis was to review the recent published literature of studies, reviews, guidelines regarding the etiology, diagnosis and treatment options of nocturnal enuresis and transform the information into a practical recommendation strategy for the general practitioner, pediatrician, pediatric urologist and urologist.
Material And Methods: Since 2012 a monthly literature search using Scopus® was performed and the relevant literature was reviewed and prospectively registered on the European Urology bedwetting enuresis resource center (http://bedwetting.europeanurology.
Purpose: This multicentric study aimed to report our experience with robot-assisted laparoscopic pyeloplasty (RALP) in children with horseshoe kidney (HSK).
Methods: The records of 14 patients (11 boys and 3 girls with an average age of 9 years), who underwent RALP for repair of pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction (PUJO) in HSK in five international pediatric urology units over a 5-year period, were retrospectively reviewed. A dismembered pyeloplasty with no division of isthmus was performed in all the cases.
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of mucopolysaccharide, vitamin C, and collagen supplementation on the healing of Achilles tendon in rats.
Methods: Sixteen rats were separated into 2 groups. Both Achilles tendons of all rats were transected 5 mm above the insertion and repaired using a Kessler suture.
Objective: To develop and validate a training model for the robotic intracorporeal bowel anastomosis.
Methods: For simulation, surgeons with varying levels of experience were instructed about bowel anastomosis robotic surgical simulation in a short educational video. All participants performed the required steps for the intracorporeal bowel anastomosis under standardized conditions.

Purpose: Little information is available regarding the healing capacity of in situ and completion repair for the treatment of partial thickness rotator cuff tears. The purpose of the study was to analyze the healing characteristics of both techniques.
Methods: Twenty-four adult Sprague-Dawley rats were operated.
Context: Undescended testis is the most common endocrinological disease in the male newborn period. Incidence varies between 1.0% and 4.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate safe depth for suture anchor insertion during acetabular labral repair and to determine the neighbouring structures at risk during drilling and anchor insertion.
Methods: Ten human cadaveric hips (six males and four females) were obtained. Acetabular labral surface was prepared and marked for right hips as 12, 1 and 3 o'clock positions, for left hips 12, 11 and 9 o'clock positions.
