Commensal anomuran and brachyuran crabs were collected from extensive exploratory surveys on rocky areas where soft corals, sea anemones and sponges are found off the Visakhapatnam coast. The present study includes nine species of commensal decapod crustaceans, comprising four porcellanid crabs (Petrolisthes lamarckii (Leach, 1820), Porcellanella triloba White, 1852, Polyonyx hendersoni Southwell, 1909 and Pisidia gordoni (Johnson, 1970)), one squat lobster (Allogalathea elegans (Adams, 1847) and four brachyuran crabs (Dorippoides facchino (Herbst, 1785), Quadrella coronata Dana, 1852, Quadrella maculosa Alcock, 1898 and Sphenomerides trapezioides (Wood-Mason & Alcock, 1891). Allogalathea elegans, Polyonyx hendersoni, Pisidia gordoni, Quadrella coronata and Quadrella maculosa are new records from off Visakhapatnam.

Reaction of ω-halo-substituted nonracemic β-sulfinamido ketones with NaH afforded the β-amino cyclohexyl ketones in excellent yields and diastereoselectivity, via an intramolecular C-alkylation, α to the carbonyl group. The reaction was found to be general and can be applied for the synthesis of different cyclohexyl amino ketones and tetrahydropyrans possessing amine and acyl substitutions.

We report Ag nanoparticles infused with mesosphere TiO/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanosheet (TiO/rGO/Ag) hybrid nanostructures have been successfully fabricated using a series of solution process synthesis routes and an in-situ growth method. The prepared hybrid nanostructure is utilized for the fabrication of photovoltaic cells and the photocatalytic degradation of pollutants. The photovoltaic characteristics of a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) device with plasmonic hybrid nanostructure (TiO/rGO/Ag) photoanode achieved a highest short-circuit current density () of 16.

Farming has a plethora of difficult responsibilities, and plant monitoring is one of them. There is also an urgent need to increase the number of alternative techniques for detecting plant diseases, which is now lacking. The agriculture and agricultural support sectors in India provide employment for the great majority of the country's people.

Hierarchical MoO@MoS/rGO nanocomposites with highly active sites deliver high power density and energy density are fabricated here by using a simple two-step process, the first one is a direct anion-exchange reaction of the inorganic MoO nanorods (NRs) for growth of few-layered MoS nanosheets in a perpendicular direction and other is the composition of rGO sheets with core-shell MoO@MoS. Interestingly, how the modification of hybrid solvent in the anion-exchange mechanism and the concentration of thiourea impact on the morphologies of core-shell MoO@MoS at quantum level have been inspected. A fruitful synergistic effect between MoO/MoS core-shell nanostructures and rGO nanosheets led to a high surface area and transporting properties are inspected obviously through fundamental studies.

Herein, we report a multifunctional device with an integrated energy-desalination-smart electrochromic display in one single cell. Specifically, a novel chemically assisted electrochromic desalination set-up was demonstrated using a Prussian blue cathode and an anode comprising Ag or a redox polymer film in salt water without any external electrical energy usage.

A proof-of-principle study is presented on the rechargeable anion storage capability of ferrocyanide immobilized in a polysilsesquioxane (PSQ)-modified flexible/rigid film for aqueous battery applications. This electrode material delivers high power density up to 140 μWh cm and energy density of 9.4 μWh cm with a long cycle life of more than 200 cycles in chloride ion medium.

Charge transport in polymeric films bound by redox reagents is a topic of current interest. The dynamics of electroinactive ions across the interface is studied by immobilizing ferrocyanide anion in a polysilsesquioxanes (PSQs) modified electrode. Redox reagents can stay in the polymeric film by either physical forces or electrostatic binding.
