The number of tillers in rice significantly affects final yield, making it a key trait for breeding and nitrogen-efficient cultivation. By investigating agronomic characteristics, we analyzed phenotypic differences between the wild-type P47-1 and the mutant , performing genetic analysis and gene mapping through population construction and BSA sequencing. The mutant, exhibiting dwarfism and multiple tillering, is controlled by a single gene, , which is tightly linked to .

Results: Here, we present chromosome-level reference genomes for 5 underutilized diploid Papilionoideae crops: sword bean (Canavalia gladiata), scarlet runner bean (Phaseolus coccineus), winged bean (Psophocarpus tetragonolobus), smooth rattlebox (Crotalaria pallida), and butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea), with assembled genome sizes of 0.
The Caesalpinioideae subfamily contains many well-known trees that are important for economic sustainability and human health, but a lack of genomic resources has hindered their breeding and utilization. Here, we present chromosome-level reference genomes for the two food and industrial trees Gleditsia sinensis (921 Mb) and Biancaea sappan (872 Mb), the three shade and ornamental trees Albizia julibrissin (705 Mb), Delonix regia (580 Mb), and Acacia confusa (566 Mb), and the two pioneer and hedgerow trees Leucaena leucocephala (1338 Mb) and Mimosa bimucronata (641 Mb). Phylogenetic inference shows that the mimosoid clade has a much higher evolutionary rate than the other clades of Caesalpinioideae.

However, the balance between high anti-periodontitis activity and low biotoxicity has been challenging to maintain in most relevant studies owing to the slow degradation of silica in living organisms.
Method: In this study, -responsive hydroxyapatite (HAP) was doped into the MSN skeleton, and the chemotherapeutic drug minocycline hydrochloride (MH) was loaded into the pores of MSN, forming a negatively charged drug delivery system.
A novel kind of potent HIV-1 protease inhibitors, containing diverse hydroxyphenylacetic acids as the P2-ligands and 4-substituted phenyl sulfonamides as the P2' ligands, were designed, synthesized and evaluated in this work. Majority of the target compounds exhibited good to excellent activity against HIV-1 protease with IC values below 200 nM. In particular, compound 18d with a 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl) acetamide as the P2 ligand and a 4- methoxybenzene sulfonamide P2' ligand exhibited inhibitory activity IC value of 0.

There are two different types of horse breeds-Guanzhong (GZ) horses, an athletic breed with a larger body height (~148.7 cm), and the Ningqiang pony (NQ) horses, a lower height breed generally used for ornamental purposes-both inhabited in the same region of China with obvious differences in muscle content.

Methods: In this article, 118 fecal samples from DeBa pony, NiQi pony and GuZh horse were studied by 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing.
A green synthetic protocol has been developed for the efficient preparation of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-one derivatives with excellent yield in aqueous media. Reverse zinc oxide micelles catalyzed the reactions efficiently and selectively as the hallow nanoreactor. Moreover, the catalyst was reusable without significant loss of catalytic efficiency.
