Background: Perinatal depression is a major global public health problem, but the onset and progression of symptoms that give rise to perinatal depression are less clear in the scientific literature.
Methods: This study followed 1210 Chinese pregnant women who completed the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale at five time points: 13, 24, and 37 weeks of gestation (G13, G24, G37), and 1 and 6 weeks postpartum (W1, W6). Cross-lagged panel networks were used to analyze and compare networks from first to second trimester (G13 → G24), second to third trimester (G24 → G37), and one week to six weeks postpartum (W1 → W6).
Background: Cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) is a major contributor to cognitive decline and gait abnormalities in the elderly population. Understanding the relationship between these impairments can aid in early detection and intervention. This study investigated the association between gait performance and cognitive decline in patients with CSVD, focusing on specific gait parameters as potential clinical markers of cognitive impairment.

Although numerous studies have reported heterogeneous cell types by single-cell RNA sequencing, the atlas and characteristics of plasma cells remain poorly understood.
Objectives: To identify the altered phenotype and differentiation patterns of plasma cells in CTEPH.
Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Pien Tze Huang (PZH) is a traditional medicinal formula consisted of four traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs) including Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F. H.

Objective: To investigate the potential and evolving trends in fluid management for patients with sepsis, utilizing a bibliometric approach.
Methods: Scholarly articles pertaining to fluid therapy for sepsis patients were extracted from the Web of Science (WoS) database as of June 1, 2024. The R software package, "Bibliometrix," was utilized to scrutinize the primary bibliometric attributes and to construct a three-field plot to illustrate the relationships among institutions, nations, and keywords.
Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) plays an important role in the regulation of cell proliferation and migration [1]. It forms a homodimer or heterodimer with other ErbB receptor family members to activate downstream signaling. Emerging evidence indicates that the EGFR activity and downstream signaling are regulated by other proteins except its family members during tumorigenesis.

Methods: A total of 191 TESCC patients who received esophagectomy following NICT were retrospectively reviewed from 2019 to 2022. The first recurrence patterns were assessed.
Breast cancer that overexpresses Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2+) due to gene amplification or overexpression constitutes 15-20% of all breast cancer cases. Trastuzumab, the first FDA-approved monoclonal antibody targeting HER2, serves as the standard first-line treatment for HER2-positive advanced breast cancer, as recommended by multiple clinical guidelines.Currently, accumulated clinical evidence reveals a considerable degree of variability in the response of HER2+ breast cancer to trastuzumab treatment.

Given the increasing prevalence of drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB), there is an urgent demand in developing novel anti-TB medications with highly effective, safe, and utilize innovative mechanisms of action. Blocking the mycolic acid synthesis pathway is well-established to be a significant strategy in developing anti-TB drugs, and Pks13 was identified as a crucial enzyme in this process. Importantly, the modes of action of recognized Pks13 inhibitors differ from traditional anti-TB medications, highlighting Pks13 as a potential and promising target in drug development within TB treatment.

While treatment of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) is effective but increases the risk of hemorrhagic transformation (HT). This study aimed to explore the determinants of HT in AIS patients treated with rt-PA and investigate the association between blood glucose levels and HT risk.

This study aimed to elucidate the association between 24-h systolic blood pressure extremes post-admission and hemorrhagic transformation while considering the possibility of hemorrhagic transformation occurring beyond the initial monitoring period.
Methods: We enrolled patients admitted to The First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University for ischemic stroke who were treated with intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator within 4.
Background: Recent advancements in brain cytoprotection therapies following cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury have become an emerging interest. Pericytes were vulnerable during the early stages of ischemia. This study aims to explore the protective effects of Edaravone dexborneol (Eda.

Previous studies examining the developmental function of between-task RSA reactivity have yielded mixed findings and have often overlooked RSA reactivity within the task. The present study examined whether RSA inertia during a stress task was associated with subsequent changes in child psychopathology symptoms.

Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is considered to be a promising cytokine for enhancing an antitumor immune response; however, recombinant IL-12 has shown significant toxicity and limited efficacy in early clinical trials. Recently, many strategies for delivering IL-12 to tumor tissues have been developed, such as modifying IL-12, utilizing viral vectors, non-viral vectors, and cellular vectors. Previous studies have found that the fusion of IL-12 with extracellular matrix proteins, collagen, and immune factors is a way to enhance its therapeutic potential.

The molecular processes that propel breast cancer progression are not fully elucidated, highlighting the intricate nature of the underlying biology and its crucial impact on global health. The objective of this research was to perform bioinformatics analyses on breast cancer-related datasets to gain a comprehensive understanding of the molecular mechanisms at play and to identify key genes associated with the disease.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFFerroptosis is a unique programmed cell death driven by iron-dependent phospholipid peroxidation. Tumor cells that escape from the conventional therapies appear more sensitive to ferroptosis. Therefore, it is extremely urgent to find safe and efficient active ingredients that induce ferroptosis in tumor cells.

However, extracting prognostic indicators from pathological images is challenging due to the subtle complexities of phenotypic information. We trained a weakly supervised deep learning model on data from 640 CRC patients in the prostate, lung, colorectal, and ovarian (PLCO) cancer screening trial dataset and validated it using data from 522 CRC patients in the cancer genome atlas (TCGA) dataset.
