Objective: To summarize the available literature on long-term-development of children exposed to benzodiazepines in utero, through a systematic review.

Information Sources: We conducted a systematic literature search of PubMed, PsycINFO and embase (1/9-2020 to 3/9-2020).

Eligibility Criteria: We included original studies with children older than one year prenatally exposed to BZ's and Z-hypnotics with outcomes regarding all psychological-, social-, motor- and neurodevelopmental disorders or disturbances of the children.

Introduction: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in pregnancy is considered a risk factor for a range of adverse outcomes in the offspring. Studies have indicated increased risk of neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia and ADHD. Objective: To examine the overall cognitive development of children exposed to maternal rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in utero by comparing their school test scores to those of their peers.

Methods: Children born in Denmark during 1995-2008 and listed in the National School Test Register were included (n = 738,862). Children exposed to maternal RA were identified through linkage of national registers.

Objectives: RA and SLE are the most prevalent autoimmune rheumatic diseases affecting young women. Both diseases are characterized by systemic inflammation that may affect placental function and fetal development during pregnancy, and both diseases are associated with adverse pregnancy and child outcomes. We investigated the associations between maternal RA or SLE and the two genital malformations, cryptorchidism and hypospadias.

A 55-year-old healthy man presented with redness and pain in both eyes and was diagnosed with bilateral scleritis. A year later impairment of ocular movement and cervical adenopathy appeared. Laboratory tests revealed signs of inflammation: increased erythrocyte sedimentation rate, lymphocytosis, lactate dehydrogenase, S-ACE converting enzyme and interleukin-2-antibody.
