Maxillary Sinus Ameloblastoma in Turner Syndrome: A Comprehensive Case Report and Long-Term Follow-Up.

In this case report, we present a comprehensive long-term follow-up of maxillary sinus ameloblastoma occurring in a patient with Turner syndrome, managed through partial right maxillectomy followed by adjuvant operative bed radiotherapy.

Evaluation of margins in pelvic lymph nodes and prostate radiotherapy and the impact of bladder and rectum on prostate position.

Purpose: The aims of this study were: determination of the CTV to PTV margins for prostate and pelvic lymph nodes. Investigation of the impact of registration modality (pelvic bones or prostate) on the CTV to PTV margins of pelvic lymph nodes. Intramedullary spinal cord metastases: Report of three cases and review of the literature.

Intramedullary spinal cord metastases (ISCM) is a rare, but devastating complication of malignant disease. Prognosis is poor, with an overall median survival (OS) of 4 months from the time of diagnosis. Yet, ISCMs are being increasingly diagnosed, related to advances and increased use of imaging and therapies that prolong survival in patients with cancer.

[Solitary bone plasmocytoma: Experience from the radiotherapy department at Mohammed-V military teaching hospital in Rabat (Morocco)].

Purpose: The primary objective was to determine in our department the progression-free survival rate of patients with solitary bone plasmocytoma and secondarily to evaluate its diagnostic, therapeutic and evolutionary aspects.

Patients And Methods: This is a retrospective review of 12 patients monitored and treated in the radiotherapy department of the Mohammed-V military medical teaching hospital in Rabat for a solitary bone plasmocytoma between January 2012 and December 2018. The average age of our patients were 53.

An Uncommon Case of Renal Metastasis from Cervical Cancer.

Metastases to the kidney are a rare entity. Among solid tumors, it is known that lung and colorectal cancers can metastasize to the kidney. Renal metastases from cervical cancer are exceptional; only 12 cases were previously reported.

Radiotherapy of nasopharyngeal cancer using Rapidarc: dosimetric study of military teaching hospital Mohamed V, Morocco.

Background: The aim of the present study is to assess efficacy and efficiency of Volumetric-modulated arc therapy (VMAT) technique in treatment of nasopharyngeal cancer in our institution and to report toxicity related to this technique.

Methods: Between June 2013 and January 2015, thirty-two patients with non metastatic nasopharyngeal cancer were curatively treated using VMAT Rapidarc. Dose prescription was performed using two different schedules, it consisted of either simultaneous integrated boost or simultaneous modulated accelerated radiation therapy delivering 70 Gy in 35 fractions and 69.

Epidemiology and outcome of cervical cancer in national institute of Morocco.

Background: On behalf of the medical staff of the National Institute of Oncology of Rabat, we conducted a retrospective study to report epidemiology and 5-year outcomes of cervical carcinoma in Moroccan women.

Methods: We reviewed all women diagnosed with invasive cervical carcinoma in our institute between January 2006 and December 2006. Outcomes and prognoses are analyzed in patients who received at least one treatment.

[Combined radiation therapy and androgen deprivation in the management of prostate cancer: Where do we stand?].

Radiotherapy and androgen deprivation therapy play a major role in the management of prostate cancer. Indeed, radiotherapy and hormone therapy are combined in a neoadjuvant and concomitant setting for intermediate risk cancers but also in an adjuvant setting in high risk or locally advanced prostate cancer. The benefice of this association was suggested by preclinical studies and demonstrated later by several randomized trials.

RapidArc for centrally recurrent cervical cancer in the vaginal cuff following primary surgical therapy: a case report.

Background: Pelvic recurrences of cervical cancer after primary surgical treatment can be potentially cured with radical hysterectomy or chemoradiation therapy. Combined radio-chemotherapy is believed to improve results compared to other option. Currently, RapidArc radiotherapy is considered an excellent technological advance that shows great potential for producing highly conformal doses to treatment volumes.

Primary adenoid cystic carcinoma of the trachea: a report of two cases and literature review.

Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) of the trachea is rare, it represents 1% of all respiratory tract cancers. It's generally considered as a slow-growing, with pronlonged clinical course. Most patients present with dyspnea, and the symptoms often mimic those of asthma or chronic bronchitis Surgical resection is the mainstay of treatment often combined to radiotherapy because of close surgical margins.

Diagnostic, therapeutic and evolutionary characteristics of cervical cancer in Department of Radiotherapy, Mohamed V Military Hospital - Rabat in Morocco.

Background: Cancer of uterine cervix is the second most common cause of cancer related deaths among women. The aim of this study is to report the experience of Military Hospital Mohamed V in the management of cervical cancer and their results.

Methods: All cervical cancer managed at the radiotherapy department of Military Hospital Mohamed V between January 2005 and February 2010, were included for investigation of their demographic, histological, therapeutic and follow-up characteristics.

Secondary gliosarcoma after the treatment of primary glioblastoma multiforme.

Context: Gliosarcoma is a rare variant of glioblastoma multiforme containing distinct gliomatous and sarcomatous components. Gliosarcoma comprise 1.8-8% of glioblastoma multiforme and are clinically similar to them, affecting adults in the fourth and sixth decades of life, with a higher proportion found in males.

[Efficacy of first-line radiation for non-resectable carotid paraganglioma].

Background: Carotid paragangliomas are rare. Surgical resection is the primary treatment. However, when surgery is impossible, radiation therapy is an alternative potentially enabling local control with less morbidity.

Radiotherapy on hidradenocarcinoma.

Context: Clear cell Hidradenocarcinoma is a rare carcinoma arising from sweat glands. It is an aggressive tumor that most metastasizes to regional lymph nodes and distant viscera; surgery with safe margins is the mainstay of treatment.

Case Report: We report a case of 68-year-old woman who presented with an invasive clear cell hidradenocarcinoma situated in the left parotid area which recurred 5 months after surgery, this recurrence was managed successfully by high-dose irradiation of the tumor bed (66 Gy) and regional lymphatic chains (50 Gy), after a follow-up of more than 15 months, the patient is in good local control without significant toxicity.

Fibrosarcoma of the maxillary sinus.

Fibrosarcoma arising in the sinonasal cavities are very rare. By the time of clinical diagnosis, they are usually advanced. Lack of adequate surgical margins predisposes these patients to tumor recurrences.

[Management of phyllodes tumors of the breast at the National institute of oncology of Rabat, Morocco].

Objectives: Phyllodes tumors of the breast (PTB) are rare fibro epithelial tumors. Their terminology, histological classification and their treatment are exposed to controversy. The aim of our work is to underline the epidemiological, clinical, histological, therapeutical, prognostic and evolutive features of these tumours through a retrospective study and a review of the literature.

[Angiocentric lymphoma of the face: report of the 2 cases].

Angiocentric lymphoma of the face is a rare malignancy. During 11 years, only two patients were treated for a lymphoma of the face. The first patient, 31-year-old, had an angiocentric lymphoma of the nasal cavity, the second patient, 40-year-old, had an angiocentric lymphoma of the nasopharynx and the maxillary sinuses, with an extension the hard palate.

[Intracranial Hodgkin disease: case report].

Hodgkin disease intracranial lesions are uncommon. We report the case of a 24-year-old man who presented with an intracranial relapse without other evidence of disease 24 months after multiple drug therapy and extended field radiation therapy for stage III Bb type 3 Hodgkin disease. The patient was treated by whole brain irradiation (40 Gy/20 fractions/4 weeks).

[Central nervous system germinoma: retrospective study of six cases].

Purpose: Retrospective analysis of six patients with intracranial germinoma treated in INO and a literature review.

Materials And Methods: Six patients were treated from 1993 to 1998, for histologically verified primary intracranial germinoma. Median age was 18 years (range: 14-26 years).

Primary malignant lymphoma of the ovary: an unusual presentation of a rare disease.

Because the outcome of patients with primary ovarian non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is controversial, we present the incidental finding of a primary malignant lymphoma of the ovary in a 50-year-old patient. Three and a half years following ablative surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy, the patient is alive and disease free. Ovarian lymphoma is a disease of reportedly poor prognosis.

[Paratesticular malignant mesothelioma. Presentation of a case].

We report a case of malignant mesothelioma of tunica vaginalis in a 65-year-old man. The clinical course was marked by local relapse and distant metastases. Based on a review of the literature, the authors discuss the clinical, epidemiological and therapeutic aspects.
