In this context a novel non-nitroimidazole class of substituted carbamothioic amine-1-carbothioic thioanhydride series was designed, synthesized, evaluated for trichomonacidal and fungicidal activities, and was found to be more active than the standard drug Metronidazole (MTZ). Compounds were trichomonicidal in the MIC ranges of 4.

Spectroscopic and molecular docking tools have been utilized to study the interaction of l-Dopa with both HL and HEWL. Spectrofluorimetric measurements exhibited that l-Dopa quenched the HL and HEWL intrinsic fluorescence.

DNA ligases play a crucial role in these processes by catalyzing the nick joining between DNA strands. As compared to normal cells, elevated levels of human DNA ligase I (hLigI) is reported in some cancers.

In the present study, we have utilized mammalian serum albumins as a model protein to examine their comparative interaction property with polyphenolic compound tannic acid (TA) by using various spectroscopic and calorimetric methods We have also monitored the esterase and antioxidant activity of mammalian serum albumins in the absence and presence of TA. The obtain results recommended that the TA have a good binding affinity (∼10 to 10M) towards mammalian serum albumins and shows double sequential binding sites, which depends on the concentration of TA that induced the conformational alteration which responsible for the thermal stability of proteins.

The anomalous origin of the right coronary artery from the left coronary sinus is a rare congenital disorder and can often result in sudden death upon initial presentation. We report a 19-year-old male patient who was referred to the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Muscat, Oman, in 2015 with multiple episodes of exertional angina. He was diagnosed as having an anomalous right coronary artery arising from the left coronary sinus following an intraoperative transesophageal echocardiogram.

A nitrogen-fixing bacterium, designated NF2-4-5, was isolated from a paddy soil in Anseong City, Korea. Cells of strain NF2-4-5 were Gram-staining-positive, motile rods and aerobic. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence comparison revealed that the strain formed a distinct lineage within the genus Paenibacillus and was closely related to Paenibacillus graminis RSA19 (98.

Of interest, a Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that NSCLC patients with higher VEGF mRNA (-ΔC ≥10) had a significantly poorer overall survival and shorter postoperative relapse time in adenocarcinoma and in stage III/IV than those with VEGF mRNA of -ΔC <10 (P < 0.001).

HSA fluorescence quenching experiments showed that BN reduces the HSA native fluorescence intensity through the static mechanism.

AS101 showed significant in vitro efficacy against both Leishmania donovani promastigotes and amastigotes at sub-micromolar concentrations. AS101 could also completely eliminate organ parasite load from L.

Reports of the high expression levels of FEN1 in several cancer cells support the idea that FEN1 inhibitors may target cancer cells with minimum side effects to normal cells.
