Introduction Primary aldosteronism (PA), once considered rare, is now recognized as the most common cause of secondary hypertension, accounting for almost a quarter of resistant hypertension (RH) cases. Despite this, PA remains underdiagnosed, with an extremely low percentage of RH patients undergoing screening.
