Materials And Methods: This randomized control study was conducted over a period of 18 months. 44 patients were enrolled in the study group.

Extraintestinal Manifestations of Crohn's Disease in the Form of Pulmonary Nodules: A Case Report.

Crohn's disease is a systemic illness with a plethora of extraintestinal manifestations affecting various organs, of which the lungs are relatively rare. Pulmonary involvement may include airway diseases, lung parenchymal diseases, pleural diseases, or drug-related diseases. Tracheobronchial involvement is the most common respiratory presentation, whereas Crohn's disease-related interstitial lung disease is seen less frequently.

Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma: An Unusual Case in an Octogenarian.

Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) is an unusual subtype of mature peripheral T-cell lymphoma originating from the follicular T-helper cells and is often associated with autoimmune disorders. AITL is an aggressive lymphoma, presenting with constitutional symptoms, generalized lymphadenopathy, and hepatosplenomegaly. Immunohistochemistry and biopsy are diagnostic methods.

Multiple volar dislocations of the carpometacarpal joints with an associated fracture of the first metacarpal base.

Multiple volar dislocations of carpometacarpal (CMC) joints are uncommon and have been reported rarely. A 25 years old male presented with injury to his left hand 6 days following a road traffic accident. Clinical examination revealed gross swelling of the hand and diffuse tenderness over the carpometacarpal area.

Primary corneal myxoma.

Primary corneal myxoma is extremely rare. It has only been reported on 2 previous occasions. Secondary corneal myxomas are more common, arising from corneal diseases such as infective keratitis, keratoconus, and bullous keratopathy.

Povidone iodine causes opacification of silicone intraocular lens implants.

Purpose: Four cases of silicone intraocular lens (IOL) opacifications presented at a routine cataract service at a UK district general hospital. A systematic investigation was performed to identify and eliminate the causative factor.

Giant cell tumor along with secondary aneurysmal bone cyst of scapula: A rare presentation.

Giant cell tumor (GCT) is a distinctive lesion characterized by the proliferation of multinucleate giant cells in a stroma of mononuclear cells; it is generally seen in skeletally mature individuals. GCT of bone is usually found in the long bones around the knee or in the distal radius of young adults and is unusual in the flat bones. We report a case of GCT of the acromion of the scapula, with a secondary aneurysmal bone cyst, in a 30-year-old female.

Ophthalmic plastic surgical skills assessment tool.

Purpose: To present a structured tool to assess ophthalmic plastic surgical skill and to determine its face and content validity.

Methods: A 1-page structured subjective evaluation form was developed to evaluate a resident's oculoplastic surgical skill while performing lateral tarsal strip surgery. The tool consisted of generic task components and global indices evaluated using a 5-point Likert scale.

Percutaneous K-wiring for Gartland type III supracondylar humerus fractures in children.

Objective: To assess the ability of closed reduction and percutaneous K-wire fixation, to obtain and maintain an adequate reduction, and thereby achieve satisfactory end results.

Methods: A prospective study conducted on 60 children over 28 months at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India, from March 2003 to June 2005, in which Gartland type-III supracondylar fracture humerus were treated by closed reduction and percutaneous pinning, either from lateral side only or from medial side also, under image intensifier control.

Results: There was no problem in union.
