Flooding stress poses a significant challenge to soybean cultivation, impacting plant growth, development, and ultimately yield. In this study, we investigated the responses of two distinct soybean cultivars: flooding-tolerant Nanxiadou 38 (ND38) and flooding-sensitive Nanxiadou 45 (ND45). To achieve this, healthy seedlings were cultivated with the water surface consistently maintained at 5 cm above the soil surface.

How RNA post-transcriptional modification affects antibody homeostasis remains unclear. Here, we found that mRNA polyadenylations and N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modifications maintain IgG1 antibody production in ASCs.

The National Health Security Office in Thailand introduced a telemedicine program called "Telehealth/Telemedicine" in December 2020, which aimed to reimburse telemedicine services for patients with stable chronic diseases under the Universal Coverage Scheme (UCS). The current study investigated patient characteristics and trends in telemedicine service utilization under the UCS in Thailand and examined the impact of COVID-19 outbreaks on telemedicine services. A retrospective secondary data analysis using e-claim data from December 1, 2020, to April 18, 2023, was conducted.

The official guidelines in Thailand were launched to regulate or frame the protocols for health care professions and teams in different organizations.
Objectives: To explore the trend of telemedicine utilization in selected hospitals in Thailand and to understand the characteristics of patients who used telemedicine from 2020 to 2023.
The global incidence of invasive fungal infections (IFIs) has increased over the past few decades, mainly in immunocompromised patients, and is associated with high mortality and morbidity. is one of the most common and deadliest IFI pathogens. Major hurdles to treating fungal infections remain the lack of rapid and definitive diagnosis, including the frequent need for invasive procedures to provide microbiological confirmation, and the lack of specificity of structural imaging methods.

Methods: Medical records of myopic children aged 3-15 years receiving weekly 1% atropine for more than 1 year were retrospectively reviewed. Axial length (AL) and spherical equivalent refraction (SER) at every visit were collected.
The increasing prevalence of myopia worldwide presents a significant public health challenge. A key strategy to combat myopia is with early detection and prediction in children as such examination allows for effective intervention using readily accessible imaging technique. To this end, we introduced DeepMyopia, an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled decision support system to detect and predict myopia onset and facilitate targeted interventions for children at risk using routine retinal fundus images.

Colistin(COL), employed as the last-line antibiotic against MDR pathogens, is now at risk due to the emergence of colistin-resistant (COL-R) bacteria, potentially leading to adverse patient outcomes. In this study, synergistic activity was observed when colistin and diclofenac sodium (DS) were combined and used against clinical COL-R strains of (), (), (), and () both in vitro and in vivo.

In recent years, testes-specific protease 50 (TSP50) has been identified as a prognostic factor and is involved in tumorigenesis regulation. However, the role and molecular mechanisms of TSP50 in EMT and CSC-like properties maintenance remain unclear.

The research seeks to propose a solution in the form of a medical metadata governance framework that is efficient and suitable for clinical research and transformation. The article begins by outlining the background of medical information data management and reviews the advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) technology relevant to the field.

Acinetobacter baumannii, which is predominantly responsible for hospital-acquired infections, presents a tremendous clinical challenge due to its increasing antibiotic resistance to colistin (COL), a last-line antibiotic. As a result, the combination of antimicrobial and non-antimicrobial agents is emerging as a more popular treatment approach against infections caused by COL-resistant A. baumannii.

China issued a reform policy in 2010 to promote the convergence of the three major information industries, namely broadcasting and television networks, telecommunications networks and the Internet (TPR policy). However, is the convergence of information industries able to promote energy transition? This study constructs a quasi-natural experimental framework using China's TPR policy as a representative case of industrial convergence.

Given that the migrant population constitutes more than a quarter of China's total population, enhancing the willingness of this demographic to have additional children through policy-guided urban public services is pivotal for optimizing China's population development strategy. This study analyzes the influence of urban public services on the reproductive intentions of the migrant population, utilizing data from 110,667 migrant families with one child, drawn from China's Migrant Population Dynamic Monitoring data in 2016 and 2018.

Background: In health economic evaluations, model parameters are often dependent on other model parameters. Although methods exist to simulate multivariate normal (MVN) distribution data and estimate transition probabilities in Markov models while considering competing risks, they are technically challenging for health economic modellers to implement. This tutorial introduces easily implementable applications for handling dependent parameters in modelling.

However, developing nanomaterials with both highly efficient enzyme-like activity and excellent SERS sensitivity remains a huge challenge. Herein, we proposed one-step synthesis of MoN nanoparticles (NPs) as a "two-in-one" substrate, which exhibits both excellent peroxidase (POD)-like activity and high SERS activity.

Monocarboxylate transporter 1 (MCT1) exhibits essential roles in cellular metabolism and energy supply. Although MCT1 is highly expressed in activated B cells, it is not clear how MCT1-governed monocarboxylates transportation is functionally coupled to antibody production during the glucose metabolism. Here, we report that B cell-lineage deficiency of MCT1 significantly influences the class-switch recombination (CSR), rendering impaired IgG antibody responses in Mct1Mb1 mice after immunization.

However, the increased and improper use of colistin has led to the emergence of colistin-resistant (Col-R) GNB. Thus, it is urgent to develop new drugs and therapies in response to the ongoing emergence of colistin resistance.
