Study Design: A literature search was performed from January 2020 to July 2021. Prospective studies excluding letters to editors were included in our review only if saliva and nasopharyngeal samples were collected simultaneously and sensitivity was reported using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic ambulatory cases.

The human bladder maintains a cycle of filling, storing, and micturating throughout an individual's lifespan. The cycle relies on the ability of the bladder to expand without increasing the intravesical pressure, which is only possible with the controlled relaxation of well-complaint muscles and the congruously organized construction of the bladder wall. A competent bladder outlet, which functions in a synchronous fashion with the bladder, is also necessary for this cycle to be completed successfully without deterioration.

In some animal models, cognitive impairment and neurodegenerative disorders that mimic Alzheimer's disease (AD) can be reproduced by intracerebral or intracerebroventricular administration of peptide (Abeta) beta amyloid. Evidence suggests that oxidative stresses are involved in the mechanism of Abeta-induced neurotoxicity and AD pathogenesis. Purpose: This work was carried out to follow up the healing of full-thickness incision wounds opened on the back skin of rabbits in order to gain insight into the periodical correlation among such factors as ascorbic acid, collagen (hydroxyproline), the zinc content, and tensile strength of wound tissue. The need to provide vitamin C or zinc supplements after such wound incisions is also discussed.

Methods: Full-thickness incision wounds and the ascorbic acid and hydroxyproline levels were measured in 24 rabbits by spectrophotometric methods on day 0 and on the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 15th days after operation.
