Background: The occurrence of immune-related adverse events (irAEs) seemed to be associated with better outcomes in advanced gastric cancer (AGC) patients. However, research focusing on the impact of the single-organ irAE (uni-irAE) or multi-organ irAEs (multi-irAEs) on the AGC outcome is relatively limited. In this study, we investigated individually the impact of the different irAEs on AGC survival as well as the co-occurrence patterns of multi-irAEs.

Concrete, as the most widely used construction material globally, is prone to cracking under the influence of external factors such as mechanical loads, temperature fluctuations, chemical corrosion, and freeze-thaw cycles. Traditional concrete crack repair methods, such as epoxy resins and polymer mortars, often suffer from a limited permeability, poor compatibility with substrates, and insufficient long-term durability. Microbial biogrouting technology, leveraging microbial-induced calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP), has emerged as a promising alternative for crack sealing.

The defoliation quality of mugwort defoliation equipment is an important factor to measure the defoliation efficiency, and the tensile properties of mugwort petiole will have an impact on the defoliation quality, such as the crushing rate and the abscission rate. In order to reduce the crushing rate and improve the abscission rate during mechanical harvesting of mugwort leaves, the tensile properties of mugwort petiole need to be studied. The tensile properties of mugwort petiole are closely related to its macroscopic and microscopic physicochemical parameters.

Resolvin D1 (RvD1) is an endogenous anti-inflammatory mediator that modulates the inflammatory response and promotes inflammation resolution. RvD1 has demonstrated neuroprotective effects in various central nervous system contexts; however, its role in the pathophysiological processes of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and the potential protective mechanisms when combined with exercise rehabilitation remain unclear. A mouse model of ICH was established using collagenase, and treatment with RvD1 combined with three weeks of exercise rehabilitation significantly improved neurological deficits, muscle strength, learning, and memory in ICH mice while reducing anxiety-like behavior.

Fomesafen (FSA) is a herbicide commonly used in soybean fields, but its long half-life in the soil can pose pollution risks to the soil ecosystem. Earthworms, which have an indicative function for soil health and play a vital role in maintaining soil ecological functions, have not been fully studied in terms of their susceptibility to FSA. This study examined the effects of different concentrations of FSA on three ecotypes of earthworms (Eisenia fetida (epigeic), Metaphire guillelmi (anecic), and Aporrectodea caliginosa (endogeic)) and found varying trade-off strategy of their growth and reproduction.

Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a novel non-invasive retinal vessel imaging technique that can display high-resolution 3D vessel structures. The quantitative analysis of retinal vessel morphology plays an important role in the automatic screening and diagnosis of fundus diseases. The existing segmentation methods struggle to effectively use the 3D volume data and 2D projection maps of OCTA images simultaneously, which leads to problems such as discontinuous microvessel segmentation results and deviation of morphological estimation.

For antibiotic-enriched waste activated sludge, classical iron-based chemical conditioning significantly enhanced sludge dewaterability. Nevertheless, the intricate constituents within sludge rapidly depleted reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to challenges such as excessive production of iron sludge and inadequate elimination of antibiotics from sludge. Herein, we proposed an innovative strategy integrating biochar with Fe(II) for peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation, aiming to enhance both sludge dewaterability and antibiotics elimination simultaneously.

Neddylation, a type of protein post-translational modification that links the ubiquitin-like protein NEDD8 to substrate proteins, can be involved in various significant cellular processes and generate multiple biological effects. Currently, the best-characterized substrates of neddylation are the Cullin protein family, which is the core subunit of the Cullin-RING E3 ubiquitin ligase complex and controls many important biological processes by promoting ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of various key regulatory proteins. The normal or abnormal process of protein neddylation in the central nervous system can lead to a series of occurrences of normal functions and the development of diseases, providing an attractive, reasonable, and effective targeted therapeutic strategy.
