Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury is a major contributor to myocardial damage, leading to adverse cardiac remodeling and dysfunction. Recent studies have highlighted the potential of gut microbiota-derived metabolites in modulating cardiac outcomes. Here, the cardioprotective effects of a commensal bacterium Flavonifractor plautii (F.

Locoregional radiotherapy (LRRT) following chemotherapy has been shown to significantly improve survival outcomes in patients with dmNPC. However, it remains unclear whether LRRT provides additional benefits in the context of CT-IO.

The purpose of this research was to thoroughly evaluate the impact of exercise on pain severity in individuals with primary dysmenorrhea and to find the best exercise regimen for these patients.
Methods: All randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of exercise for patients with primary dysmenorrhea were searched in the Embase, PubMed, Cochrane, Web of Science, EBSCO, and CINAHL databases.
The Asian yellow pond turtle (Mauremys mutica) has long been thought to lack dimorphic sex chromosomes, with prevailing theories suggesting a solely temperature-dependent sex determination (TSD) system. In this study, a male chromosome-level genomic sequence with a contig N50 of ~23.59 Mb was generated using a combination of both Nanopore and Hi-C sequencing technologies.

Zhizhu pills (ZZP) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been extensively applied in the treatment of spleen deficiency and constipation for many years. As a commonly used prescription in Traditional Chinese medicine, there had been a controversy over whether to use raw Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (RRAM) or Bran-Fired Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (BRAM) in ZZP. In this study, a specific, sensitive, fast and accurate liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) method was developed to analyze the main active components in ZZP.

We propose a novel approach by integrating functional metal (Zr) with one-dimensional (1DL) biochar fiber to create P adsorbents. Three synthesis methods-impregnation-pyrolysis, co-precipitation, and hydrothermal synthesis-are evaluated for their effects on P adsorption performances.

Here, we designed novel dual-asymmetric acceptors A-SSe-TCF and A-SSe-LSF by simultaneously asymmetrically regulating the backbone and terminal groups and investigated their synergistic effects on photovoltaic performance in comparison with the monoasymmetric acceptor A-SSe-4F. The dual-asymmetric acceptors exhibit broader spectral absorption and larger half-molecule dipole moment differences, which favored the enhancement of and the reduction of energy loss ().

We plan to further seek simple and convenient methods to assess the response of patients to UDCA treatment.
Methods: We recorded routine blood tests, liver function, and vitamin D (VD) levels of PBC patients and healthy controls visiting the hospital between October 2022 and October 2023.
Mass spectrometry-based single cell proteomics (MS-SCP) is attracting tremendous attention because it is now technically feasible to quantify thousands of proteins in minute samples. Since protein amplification is still not possible, technological improvements in MS-SCP focus on minimizing sample loss and increasing throughput, resolution, and sensitivity, as well as achieving the measurement depth, accuracy, and stability as bulk samples. Major advances in MS-SCP have facilitated its use in biological and even medical applications.

Although coumarins have been found to have multiple effects, this understanding is still relatively limited. Here, we show that coumarin significantly promotes the elongation of the hypocotyl by enhancing cell elongation.

Here, we report a wet-chemical selenization-based anisotropy optimization technique to control the in-plane orientation of the AgSe thin film, steering it away from (002) nearly parallel planes that hinder charge carrier mobility. This approach enables us to achieve an impressive power factor of 30.

This paper aims to contribute to guaranteeing the stable development and enhancing the understanding of ecological agriculture of Chinese materia medica so that the national strategy and industrial demand can be better served. It first introduces current traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)policy and industrial development status from five aspects, including policy guarantee, theoretical support, technological innovation, standardization system, and brand influence. Then, the paper analyzes the development dilemma of TCM agriculture in production and quality increase and ecological environment protection.

Conventional dural repair materials, which rely on suturing to peripheral tissues, fail to promote tissue regeneration and provide sufficient CSF leakage prevention, leading to suboptimal outcomes. To address these limitations, we developed a Janus adhesive bio-patch with both antibacterial and pro-angiogenic properties to enhance dura mater repair.

The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) serves as a sensitive indicator of systemic inflammation and immune activation. Our study aimed to investigate the correlation between elevated NLR levels and the risk of all-cause mortality in patients with resolved HBV infection.

However, the fundamental mechanism underlying myocardial necroptosis, especially the mitochondria-dependent death pathway, is poorly understood. Synaptotagmin-1 (Syt1), a Ca sensor, is originally identified in nervous system and mediates synchronous neurotransmitter release.

Despite over two centuries of recognition as a chronic disease, the exact pathogenesis of PD remains elusive. The onset and progression of PD involve multiple complex pathological processes, with dysfunctional autophagy and elevated oxidative stress serving as critical contributors.

While soft robotic exoskeletons have proven effective in rehabilitation therapy and daily activity assistance, challenges remain in performing highly dexterous tasks due to structural complexity and insufficient motion accuracy. To address these issues, we developed a modular division method based on multi-domain mapping and a top-down process model.

In this study, we investigated the impact of antibody class switching on neutralization efficacy by engineering recombinant antibodies of different isotypes (IgA1, IgG1) with identical variable regions from SARS-CoV-2 convalescent patients. A potent, broad-spectrum neutralizing monoclonal antibody CAV-C65 exhibited a ten-fold increase in neutralization potency upon switching from IgG1 to IgA1 monomer.
