Since plants are sessile organisms, they are inevitably exposed to various environmental stresses, and the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) could affect the growth and development of plants. ROS play either positive or negative roles in various plant life activities as a two-edge sword. Class III peroxidase (CIII PRX) is a highly conserved antioxidant enzyme family specifically identified in plants, which is involved in maintaining ROS homeostasis in the cell and plays multiple functions in plant growth metabolism and stress response.

Reported herein is a ligand engineering strategy to develop photoelectric active metal nanoclusters (NCs) with atomic precision. Triphenylamine (TPA), a typical organic molecule in the photoelectric field, is introduced for the first time to prepare atomically precise metal NCs that prove effective in the fabrication of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The scalable synthetic prototype, unique electronic strucuture, and atomically precise structure of the cluster ([(AgCu)(PPh)(TPA-C≡C)]) are illustrated in this work.

N 6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification is a crucial and widespread molecular mechanism governing plant development and stress tolerance. The specific impact of m6A regulation on plants with inherently high salt tolerance remains unclear. Existing research primarily focuses on the overexpression or knockout of individual writer or eraser components to alter m6A levels.

N-Heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands have emerged as highly effective surface ligands for the protection and functionalization of metal nanoclusters (NCs). However, research on NHC-stabilized metal NCs, including their synthesis, structure, properties, and applications, is still in its early stages. In this study, we present the first gold-copper alloy cluster protected by both NHC and alkyne ligands, denoted as AuCu(NHC)(PA) (abbreviated as AuCu, where NHC is a bidentate N-heterocyclic carbene ligand with isopropyl as the N-substituent, and PA is a phenylethynyl group).

  • LINC00319 is a long non-coding RNA that has been linked to the progression of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and is known to be involved in regulatory processes like the competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) mechanism.
  • This study aimed to investigate LINC00319's role in OSCC and its potential interactions with the STAT3 signaling pathway, providing insights into new regulatory mechanisms that could serve as therapeutic targets.
  • Results showed that LINC00319 is upregulated in OSCC and enhances tumor progression by directly binding to and activating STAT3 signaling, with in vivo models confirming its role in tumor growth and STAT3 activation.

In recent years, the concept of Frustrated Lewis Pairs (FLPs), which consist of a combination of Lewis acid (LA) and Lewis base (LB) active sites arranged in a suitable geometric configuration, has been widely utilized in homogeneous catalytic reactions. This concept has also been extended to solid supports such as zeolites, metal oxide surfaces, and metal/covalent organic frameworks, resulting in a diverse range of heterogeneous FLP catalysts that have demonstrated notable efficiency and recyclability in activating small molecules. This study presents the successful immobilization of FLP active sites onto the surface of ligand-stabilized copper nanoclusters with atomic precision, leading to the development of copper nanocluster FLP catalysts characterized by high reactivity, stability, and selectivity.

  • The study investigates the roles of different adenosine receptors (A1R, A2AR, A2BR, A3R) in liver fibrosis, noting that A1R and A2AR may worsen the condition while A2BR and A3R could help alleviate it.
  • Using mouse models of liver fibrosis, various adenosine receptor agonists were tested, showing that A1R and A2AR activation increases liver damage and cellular proliferation, whereas A2BR and A3R activation helps reduce fibrosis symptoms.
  • The findings indicate that targeting specific adenosine receptors could be a potential therapeutic strategy for managing liver fibrosis, with NECA, an adenosine analog, showing promising results in reducing fibrosis and

Stabilized and metallic light elements hydrides have provided a potential route to achieve the goal of room-temperature superconductors at moderate or ambient pressures. Here, we have performed systematic DFT theoretical calculations to examine the effects of different light elements C and N atoms doped in cubic KBHhydrides on the superconductivity at low pressures. As a result of various atoms substituting, we have found that metallic KB_{8-x}MH(M = C, N) hydrides are dynamically stable at 50 GPa, band structures and density of states (DOS) indicate that sizeableTccorrelates with a high B-H DOS at the Fermi level.
